Co-Mods, Interest Check?

So I have this idea I will be working on, it's a darker, kind of slice of life thing, but supernatural! If that doesn't scare you away, I'm looking for interest, possibly co-mods to work on it. There will be different types of animal shifters, each with its own lore, at least one will be based on Native American stories from my own tribe. While it will be a town and a slice of life kind of game, there will be darker plots, built around the created canons for people to get started. A few for each species and with enough information for people to make them their own, but with enough background to give some intrigue and backstory to the town and species that gives long term plottage! So far I'm planning on having the usual werewolves, but also bears, ravens, hawks, foxes. Possibly leopards as well and maybe vampires. There will of course be humans. Perhaps to join the ranks of the shifters depending on how you can do so, and yes everyone knows about the supernatural, there is no secret species really. I have some ideas for the different backgrounds of the main species for drama and connections.

About me, I am in my mid-forties, I role-play pretty much anything and am very open to ideas. I am working and in school so busy, but still able to be around online and do posts at least every other day! I love working with others, but my number one rule is that people have to be respectful, even if they disagree. If anyone is interested feel free to reply or PM me!

Looking potentially for a co-mod, definitely for players, for this game. I've tried once before to start it but it spluttered and died before it really had a life, so I'm trying again - it's been overhauled, revamped, and all those other good things. I've been hard at work making it look as lush as possible! Please give it a look if you have the time :)

mods? creative souls?

I posted this concept as an interest check on rpg-d, and got some great feedback, and I'm hoping to find abled beings who would like to help shape a rather extensive, magical world into game fruition once again.

I did this game is 2008 called Augury. It was about magical families coming together, with each family holding it's own head of house that was based on a magical school from Dungeons & Dragons. The journal was deleted, sadly. However, in 2008 my eighteen-year-old self posted an ad with the entire plot on ~wanna_rp, and for kicks, you can view it here.

In 2016 I'd like to reattempt said game, but give it a more Game of Thrones, political vibe, filled with witch hunters and backstabbers with some juicy character development. If you'd like, you can view my interest check here.

I'm looking for creative souls in hashing out surnames, family backgrounds for the houses, city locations, etc. I'm alone on this one, and I really need some brainstorming to really get the creative flowing. I'm also considering hosting the renewed game on jcink, versus journaling, and am hoping to find someone who is a chameleon in roleplaying platforms.

Non-Supernatural Themed Games

I made this game because I couldn't find anything like it out there - something with no magic, no werewolves or vampires or zombies, something that isn't post-apocalyptic or set in a world other than our own...

I guess the question now is, where do I find players? I mean obviously, advertising in all the usual places is a good first step. But on places like rp_vents, people are always saying about how they want threads, and well written characters, and comms that aren't just lyrics posts... I guess I wanna know where they hang out.

...also any tips about moderating that people wanna give me, would be greatly appreciated... I mean I've played in enough games that I have a rough idea how to go about it (including one game that taught me how NOT to mod, haha) but I'm not silly enough to think I know it all.

I am looking to revive a game I started to open—but regretfully let flop before it could. I am looking for a co-mod! And this is cross-posted! So tell your friends. Or just contact me, because you know this is a charming setting and you want in on it, too.

Thank you! (I'm also accepting applications mid-revival, so if you'd prefer just to write in the setting... Please apply!)

[info]circle_s—Go! Look! It's the most charming small town setting you'll ever find.

Seeking a Jack of All Trades Mod

Good Morning All! I currently own and run a large game on InsaneJournal and I am looking for a mod to help out with the game maintenance. Our membership has doubled in the last two months and we have been open for just about a year on IJ, and so we need the extra help. We are looking for someone with experience either running, owning, or modding a game, as well as someone whose comfortable with coding, making graphics, and dealing with people--a jack of all trades if you will. As we are looking for someone on the 'outside' there will be a trial period to benefit both parties--if you choose to back out before the trial period has ended that will be fine, but we would expect you to join the community first and see if you like it and vice versa. This also will allow you to get to know the members. We're a very accepting community and all the mods on staff are dedicated and hard workers. If you're interested, please comment to this thread, leave me a PM, or leave a message in my dropbox. Thanks again and looking forward to hearing from you.

I'd absolutely love to start a supernatural-fantasy based rp, entirely original, and would like to find one or two mods to make it with, i have a location decided and the general base of what creatures would/n't be allowed. If you're interested you can come here to talk.

I have the vague idea for an original character sci-fi/outer space game, loosely based around a Citadel-type structure like in Mass Effect. But I figured I'd use this opportunity to ask around for a potential comod (and also gauge interest!).

So, anyone interested, in either co-modding or the idea in general?

Looking for a comod

I've got a ton of ideas for the game which will be located at this journal. I tend to love doing the coding, tables, and all the html that is needed, but would love to find someone I can bounce plot ideas off of and to just pretty much split modly duties with. Anyone out there looking for a game that is going to include superpowers, high school, and a town game all rolled into one? Please don't hesitate to message me here!

Hello! I'm looking for a co-mod. (Or two!) Someone to bounce ideas off of, someone to help maintain the game... etc. The mod journal is pretty set up at the moment, so please feel free to have a look and come at me with ideas! You can contact me at the drop box.

I would love further ideas, but I would like this game to be set in a small town. At the moment, I have a basic setting in mind and not much else. I plan on being very hands-on and available and active so I'd like for you to be as well! (Glance at the rules section, for example.)

Thanks for your interest! I'm really excited to get this up and running.

Aching for a co-mod

I'm looking to start up a game but dying for a co-mod. I'm open to bouncing ideas around, but I've been fiddling around with the possibility of something with the Mayan Apocalypse but mixed with something supernatural. Instead of the end of the world, the Apocalypse dawns the end of an era and supernatural things start happening. If anyone is aching for a brand new game, message me here and I can give you more details :)

Looking for a co-mod

In the spirit of Halloween I want to do either one of two things: a haunted town game based off an idea I did oh say six years ago with original characters or a Supernatural one based off an idea involving Azazel's other generations of kids with powers. So I'd definitely be in the market for a co-mod and someone I can throw ideas off of concerning either one. I'm not expecting an answer but here's to keeping my fingers crossed. <3

So I've been looking for a co-moderator for my game for a while. Like since I came up with the premise. Now I'm turning to you good people. The game has already been created (tideous work) and now I'm ready to open it. I just need someone to help me with it.

Job responsiblities that both of us would handle:

-Game Wide Plots
-Application reviewing
-Adding/removing players
-Activity checks

The Game is a post apocalyptic original character game that I absolutely loved coming up with. More information about it can be found here. If you're interested leave a comment in the drop box in the mod journal or this journal.

Thank you very much.

hello! i'm thinking of starting up a game that plays heavily off of anime/manga and high school tropes and was hoping to find a comod. it's very tongue-in-cheek and would be a magical school-based rp, essentially, with an international cast. this is not a harry potter game and would be pb-based with an emphasis on clever writing and characterization with an overarching plot that people can participate in at their leisure. if you're interested, please comment here so i can give more details (and feel free to browse what little i already have set up).

Marvel Civil War

I've been modding for 5+ years and I'm going to be starting a Marvel Civil War era community based in the Marvel Movieverse. I've seen all the marvel movies and I'm very knowledgeable about the characters of the X-Men comic verse, but I lack specific knowledge and details about the Civil War line and the other marvel characters past their movie appearances. Although we would obviously be tweaking things for the movieverse, I'm looking for a co-moderator who's more knowledgeable about this specific era in Marvel's universe so that we could work together on creating this community.

Ideally, I'd love it if you had some good modding experience, but the most important thing is that you can come with your own ideas, be open minded to combining ideas and be aware of what issues members usually have with poor moderators. It's important to me that we can work to set up the community together, but I'd also love to keep you on as a co-mod once we open. So I need to know that you feel you'd be able to continue to moderate well, incorporate old and new members into the monthly plots, help to welcome people and dissolve any potential issues before they become unneeded drama, etc. These responsibilities would be both of ours.

Please comment if you're interested, and send any friends you think of this way if they fit the picture. Thanks!

Clone High: The College Years

Does anyone remember the series Clone High? I've wanted to create a game based on that show for a really long time, but more recently I've been toying with the idea of having it set at a college. I've got a few more ideas for it, but was wondering if anyone would like to possibly co-mod, or if anyone else finds the idea intriguing.

Advice?

I'm working on starting up an adult based pb game - I'm still figuring out the details and setting. I want to try and get it up and running during the holidays because I'm really enthused by the idea.

I'm trying to figure out the best place to open up for suggestions. A post in this journal, or something else?

Also am looking for a co-mod if anyone would be interested and has time.

Seeking co-mod with an interest in helping to run a space pirate community. Heavy preference for someone with talents in layout/html style page creation and possibly graphics—though I can do graphics if needed. All the descriptions of planets, ships, and people are completed—I just dearly need someone capable of making them look as nice as (I hope) they sound! I have modding experience, so I don’t really need anyone to handle community maintenance and/or organization—but someone who is a touch more handy with the creative side would be nice. If you’re interested, please leave a comment with a journal or an e-mail where I can get in touch with you.

Grasping at straws and could use a second opinion/co-mod

I'm working on pulling together a survival horror game based around your typical zombie movies, television shows, comic books, and video games. I had the idea to base it in West Texas (or another area with a similar climate/population density) about 2-3 months after the epidemic became widespread so the survivor numbers are thinned and spread out. They will spend at least the first few weeks trying to congregate whilst fending off the face-munchers and surviving however they can. Once they've met up, that is when decisions will need to be made as a group and since these people have been on their own for what feels like years instead of weeks, everyone's going to have an opinion and it ain't gonna be pretty.

I want the game to be free-form beyond these basic principles and I really would like to avoid the bunker scenario where everyone just crowds in and waits for a) death or b) the epidemic to ~pass. I also don't want anyone getting too comfortable. Yes, there will be moments allowed so people can breathe, but for the most part, I want everyone on their toes. There will be monthly (bi-monthy? weekly?) death rolls that will help guide players, but they will not be mandatory. Multiple characters will be encouraged. In fact, I kind of want to require that once you've picked up your first main character, you must pick up a fodder character (preferably for another character's storyline) before you can pick up a second main one.

So, am I crazy for wanting to do this? Is anyone interested? Is anyone interested and willing to help me out? Let me know. You can leave a comment, here, or shoot me a PM. Thanks!

Hi everyone. I'm trying to open a game - it's very much still in the planning stages, and I feel like I've spent a lot more time on the code than on the actual content. Pretty much every page is up for tweaking and revision. But the biggest problem I'm having is with the FAQ section.

My game is about students in a boarding school, holding out against a zombie apocalypse. Everyone inside the school is safe (as much as you can be), everyone outside is Infected. What I need right now, is someone to look at what I have and ask me questions, in a Devil's Advocate sort of way. It's not that I don't know the information, it's that I'm having trouble thinking of what needs to be included, and what people are likely to wonder about (some things that seem obvious to me, might not to others).

I'd really appreciate concrit, because I've spent a lot of time and effort on the game and pages, and I'd like to know, as players and as mods, what the good points are and what I need to tighten up before I can think about advertising.

Thanks!
