Day 305 : MISTLETOE BOT MINGLE
[You won't hear them coming. You won't see their snare. The mistletoe bots are out and they're hunting you, two by two. You can run and you can hide, but eventually you will be caught, and then there's nothing left to do but kiss your way out!

Jack laughs. "I knew I could count on you!" he says, with definite relief. However much fun it is catching unwilling victims with his bot, it's rather refreshing to catch one who sees it as much as a game as he does!

He steps in closer, lifting his hand to cradle the prosthetic side of Phanan's face, because he's Jack and he can't help but be curious about what it feels like. "Shall we, then?" he asks, surprisingly gentle.

((OOC: Well, let's do prose then, if you don't mind either way. I still find it so much easier for action stuff!))

Phanan keeps up the lighthearted smirk but something flashes momentarily in his one remaining eye that suggests the face touching is not okay. He trusts Chuck and he loves her and she gets to do it but people he hardly knows? Not happening. He makes a big, casual, extravagant gesture that just so happens to knock Jack's hand away before it settles on him. He's not bothering to hide the fact that it was deliberate but they can both pretend it was an accident if they want.

"Oh alright. It is in the spirit of whatever imaginary holiday this is after all." Face touching might not be okay but he's got no problem with a kiss.

Jack may not be particularly observant (or, sometimes, he is observant but just chooses to barge on his own way regardless) but he'd have to be blind to miss that reaction, so his hand is already changing direction by the time Phanan knocks it aside. He checks a moment, readjusting his plan of attack, and doesn't apologise because if Phanan had wanted to actually talk about the touching he would have done so instead of pretending to knock his hand out of the way.

So he grins a little and puts his hand on Phanan's waist, instead, just for stability, because he's not going to try kissing someone without any other contact at all, but other than that he'll let Phanan lead the way for more touching if he wants it. He'll lead the way into the kiss, though, leaning in and pressing a warm, gentle mouth against Phanan's.

Kissing is fine. He has no problem with that at all as long as the artificial parts get left out of it. Hands on the waist is fine and he does it himself for balance, absently noting that Jack takes this kissing thing very seriously. Most of the other people he's encountered go for an uncomfortable kiss on the lips to get things over with as quickly as possible whereas Jack seems to want to make this a real, intimate kiss. Well okay then.

Just because he's got Chuck and he's getting better about what he thinks of himself doesn't mean he's quite used to the excitement of actual physical contact with real people this day means. He's not the nervous wreck who hadn't done anything like this in years the way he was last time around but he still gets a little thrill of disbelief and excitement from it all and the fact that someone is willing to kiss him without being repulsed by all the hardware.

There's no such thing as an uncomfortable kiss as far as Jack's concerned, and Phanan's an attractive man. To Jack's mind, the prosthetic parts don't really alter that; on the contrary, they make him more interesting. And he doesn't really get that finding Phanan more interesting because of the prosthetics is almost as bad as shunning him because of them.

Whatever the case, if he's kissing, he's going to do it with style, and so there's nothing quick or perfunctory about this. Given Phanan's twitchiness, though, he doesn't try for anything too over the top, and keeps it relatively chaste (by his standards) and it's not to long before he gently pulls back.

Ooh, confetti, how exciting. Phanan shakes it out of his hair, usual gigantic smirk plastered firmly back in place. The face touching thing may have rattled him for a second but he's over it now and back to his usual jovial self.

"You're one of those people who likes being good at that, aren't you? I'm surprised they didn't designage you your own personal droid to save themselves the trouble."

He glances over the shoulder at the little bot, which also seems to be looking a bit smut, if such a thing were possible. "And actually, I think they may have done. 	Jack grins too, pleased that Phanan is, after all, taking all this in the way he'd hoped he would. If there's anyone he'd expected to appreciate his little game, it's Phanan.
