Wonderland Event — Dome-wide mingle
[ There were blankets set out in the lush parks of the prison, and on top a feast was spread out. Fine china and chubby pots of tea, delicate cake trays filled with tarts, biscuits and sandwiches; yes, anything the hungry and weary prisoners could wish for was laid out for their convenience.

The sun was shining brightly and a playful breeze rustles the leaves of the trees. Surely a wonderful day for a tea party! ]

I am! Reid — Spencer Reid. Doctor Reid, actually. And yes. Well. Actually it's debatable and may just as well be an urban legend that airlines are using to their advantage — with an average death toll of 1200 people per year who die from airplane related fatalities it's difficult to imagine that death by donkey would be higher. However we have no statistics and so we can only say it's plausible, not disproven.

Coconuts though. There are statistics for coconuts. 150 deaths every year.

[Martha smiles and lies back in the grass.]

Good to meet you Spencer Reid. Doctor Reid. I'm Doctor Jones actually too. And airplanes are such a bad way to travel. It's way better to go by TARDIS.

Coconuts? Ooo... Are there any on the table?

[Because suddenly, coconuts sound excellent. Martha rolls over to her stomach to look.]

TARDIS. Time and Relative Dimension in Space. Always bigger on the inside, right? I've never seen it up close but it's definitely better than an airplane. Not even the FBI jet can compare.

[ Right, coconuts ] It's too cold for coconut trees here. The optimal temperature is 27 degrees Celsius, or 80 degrees Fahrenheit.

[She turns to him confused, coconuts momentarily forgotten, as he rattles off information about the TARDIS.]

And how do you know that? Hardly anyone knows that!

[And then he brings the subject of coconuts back.] Maybe one of the stores have them!

[ Whoa whoa whoa this was a close call right here! Can't mess with the prime directive — it's so awkward to go around and say that you know things because you saw it on tv and hey, the person you're talking to is a fictional character! Can't do that. Let's... let's think of something clever. ]

Oh, I've met the Doctor a few times. Here. I guess he must've mentioned it. [ Coconuts. ] We could go check for coconuts, if you want? I was going somewhere but I can't seem to remember what I was supposed to do...

[It's a plausible excuse. Martha will accept it. The Doctor was proud of the TARDIS. ]

Oh yes, the coconuts!

[She stands.]

Where should we try first?

Maybe the beach? It'd make sense for coconuts to be by the beach, wouldn't it?

Are there palm trees by the beach?

[Not that she really stays to hear the answer. Martha thinks coconuts would be absolutely hilarious to find and she's already making her way to the beach to find them.]

It stands to reason. Although, palm trees grow in a variety of climates, from tropical forests to grasslands and scrublands to mountain habitats over 1000 feet. Only 130 types are capable of surviving outside of a tropical climate-

[ And this is what he'll continue to do until something shiny distracts him and he wanders off from this coconut adventure. ]

Did he wander off? If not I can edit...

I didn't know they grew on mountains too! Let's hope there's at least one!

[But when she turns to find her partner, he seems to be gone. Slightly disappointed, Martha turns back to look for him.]

(Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

he did! She's free to come across him again if you want.

[ Meanwhile, Reid will be fluttering from thought to thought, task to task, not quite settling long enough to actually get something done. Such a weird, confusing day. ]

(Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

I think she'll leave him be.

[Martha searched for a few minutes. Not long enough to find him. And with Spencer Reid not constantly talking about coconuts, she soon lost interest in those as well. There were more important people to find and much more important things to do than find coconuts.]
