[ when Nyota had woken up that morning (early, as usual), she'd found all of the shirts in her wardrobe replaced by one particularly ugly and possibly nsfw sweater. and try as she might to search for something else, short of wearing a sheet for the rest of the day or just forgoing clothes all together, there was no other option. she had to wear the sweater. no choice.

she hated being forced to do anything.

wearing an extremely unhappy look, you might run into her around the Enterprise (if you have reason to be there), around town doing some Christmas shopping, or wandering around the residential districts. she's so upset by this sweater business, she hasn't even noticed the mistletoe that has cropped up around the area - because honestly? mistletoe here?

What: After having radioed out to the city, Khan and Kirk have mustered enough items to start an attempt of breaking out of C'Vorti. With a few C'Meni at their aid, the Prisoners are going to attempt breaking out of their ruined city prison.

The Princess had decided it was best to trust those Honored Guests who were in prison with them. While she knew their faces, the man known as Khan was not one she knew well. Her people worried about the looming ship of his. Distant memories of the near mythical past of Mandalus's days in space floated around. The Princess was quick to silence the talk but knew it was in the back of their minds. Even so, she offered the man any soldier of hers that would be willing to go with him. They had few left and she made sure the Augment knew such things before allowing any of her people to go with them. Their kind was soon to be extinct.

Despite that the Princess had also organized her people to be back up. If they were able to brace themselves out of the prison, then they would have one shot at it. Her people arrived at the meeting point, there to aid the Honored Guests.

They had no idea that P'Tyara and the others were on the other side. All that Iafara knew was that Khan had made contact with another.

What: Welcome to the ruins of C'Vorti, the once capital of Mandalus. Here you and other Honored Guests that are captured will meet, greet and hopefully find the C'Meni in order to free yourselves.

C'Vorti Prison, the ruined city of the once might capital of the Mandalus Empire some five hundred years ago. Now it simply is a decaying city wracked with criminals of every kind. From the criminally insane to those who simply spoke out against the Cult, and the fabled C'Meni,
the prison city was now home to all of them. Given only part of the city was accessible, it would be easy to stage a revolt and break out. If one could get past magical wards placed by the Cult of Mes'Klou.

For now? Simply meet with one another and see what can be done. Perhaps finding the C'Meni would be the best idea...

With the chaos that was the cultists overrunning the Spaceport and snatching up the C'Meni left and right, things were, for lack of a better word, insane. Part of the crew had managed to get a handle of the C'Meni on a shuttle and got them away safely. The crew that were native to Mandalus, they knew where to go, the fastest way to return safely to their homes. But the main crew of the Enterprise, that technically was their home. Kirk, McCoy, Uhura. Kaylee, even, since the people she lived with before had left the city...and her homeless. The only one that had someplace to go was Darcy. Realizing they had a safehouse made Darcy so very thankful that she hadn't sold it off after Magnus was taken from her.

With another shuttle, she directed them to her neighborhood, having the shuttle parked in a wooded area to the south of the house. She wished it was like Star Trek IV, and they had a vessel that could shield itself. Darcy led the way through the back yard, letting herself into the sliding door, keeping it open for her crewmates. It was going to be a little crowded. No. Not crowded. Cozy. She preferred the term 'cozy' to crowded.

"Okay, so, this here is the kitchen, obviously. Living room through there. There's a half-bath down the hall. Up the stairs is the master bedroom, a second bedroom, and a full bath. Basement is furnished and has a pool table. So, that's fun." Darcy rambled off as she pointed her arms in all different directions as she explained the house. She was exhausted and sweaty and ached all over. She knew that everyone else was the same way.

"Any questions?"

What: The Enterprise crew is doing a camping trip--and has invited anyone from the city to join! They also find a special little something hidden out in the woods.

Warning: LOTS OF FEELS

Ben had gotten his memories back on the 15th and he had proceeded to throw every obscenity he knew at Dean Winchester before storming off to his room and locking the door. He was still on medical review, dealing with his breakdown and what he had been told he did.

There were whispers from the nurses about bad effects for people coming back from the dead, and that was probably all his hallucinations were. But Ben knew there was more. His new... old... whatever these memories of his were, they had bled into the hallucinations.

It explained all his nightmares. The missing times in his life for a few years. Things that had never felt quite right all made sense now. And it had been done by the person he had loved almost as much as his mother.

Dean had been like a father to him, and he had gone and done that. How could he betray him like that? He was supposed to love him, and fucking people up isn't a way to show love.

He knew that the nurses weren't happy with him recovery mentally, and Ben was just waiting for Bones, Darcy, or Kirk to come down and try to figure him out. So he was prepared, and already had something written up explaining why he couldn't work on the ship anymore.

Bones had been right. Ben was a kid, and he shouldn't be here. This wasn't a place for a kid, and all he had done was get shot, killed, and nearly taken out half the ship. He couldn't stay here after that. It wasn't fair to the others to have to deal with his messed up head.

And Dean sure as hell didn't want to deal with him either. After all, he's the one who made Castiel take away all his memories of him.

He just needed to figure out where to go when the time came. He was too scared to walk across the mandalay again if the cultists were there waiting for him, so he just hid in his room, waiting for his fate to be decided.

When: Sunday Brunch

Sam was back to work now that the danger of the cult sacrifices had been over for a few days now. Sunday morning was here, and hopefully as people started to come back out of their homes, they would return to their daily routines. He had been helping Red get the diner back going, and was looking forward to a bit of normal without a side of supernatural terror on the side.

"Hope you guys are ready," he called back to the rest of the staff, then went and turned the sign on the door to OPEN.

What: Howard Stark shows Mandalus what the Fourth of July is all about.

On July 4th, Stark Labs suddenly lit up like Vegas. Bright multi-colored in red, blue, and white lights flashed all over the building, and out front, tastefully decked out fountains burst into life. A red carpet - a real red carpet - was rolled out to the front doors that would lead the guests into the smooth and polished white marble lobby of Stark Labs.

Food tables were stretched along the wall - with bbq, tastefully bowled potato salad, and many other summer delicacies. There was a tower of cupcakes in red, white and blue as well. A wine fountain stood in the corner, and the booze flowed free tonight.

Your host is standing at the top of the stairs, grinning out at the party as he opens his arms wide, "Happy American Independence Day! Drink and eat your fill - and dance shoe soles right off!"

[How familiar. The white walls, the bright lights, the glass. And this time, he didn't want to be here. He would rather be anywhere else in this damned place than here. But thanks to Uhura's arrival and her revealing his identity to the others. And he had no reason to believe she had told Kirk any less than everything that had happened.

Sitting on the edge of the bed, he watched his surroundings carefully, taking note of the number of guards and the frequency they changed shifts. Kirk was, evidently, taking no chances, as there were two security guards in the halls outside. He noted, over the course of several days, the routines of the guards, their idle conversation (he couldn't hear it as well as he should've been able to; probably that damn bangle), and their faces. Three times each day they'd bring him food, and each time he tried to speak to any of them, they would ignore him.

He slept only occasionally, preferring to make them think he was asleep rather than actually sleeping. They talked more freely when they thought he wasn't listening, but sometimes he'd drift off for three or four hours. He adjusted well enough to the fact that they never turned off the lights, and the less than comfortable bed. He'd long since grown used to both those things anyway.]

The bar was dark and relatively quiet in comparison to the street. It was the kind of place a guy could get lost in if he wanted or even forgotten. Steve was considering both options over a glass of whatever beer they had. It was his heritage: times a good, you drink and if times are bad, you drink harder.

He had found a corner to sit and brood for a while. It seemed that every time he finally had a break, something else happened to bring him down. His Dad finally seems happy and he gets too sick to live any more. A girl finally agrees to go out with him and then she's asked out by the quarter back. The army finally accepts him and he gets transported into another dimension. It was just his luck.

At least there had been a few things to keep him busy. Dames arriving and not knowing where to go. That sort of thing. He'd found a punching bag, but then discovered that his new strength was prone to breaking punching bags. Steve sighed and leaned back in the wooden chair. From where he sat there was a good view of the snooker tables and was that...no...was Miss Carter over the--

CRACK!

Steve tumbled backwards as the back of the chair gave way and the wood splintered around him. As he fell, he rocked the base of the chair so that it slid out from under him and his legs splayed which, in turn, knocked the table over and covered a poor, unsuspecting guy in his undrunk beer.

Steve was halfway through muttering an apology as he stood up to get a better look and...and...it wasn't Miss Carter after all.
