Sam was back to work now that the danger of the cult sacrifices had been over for a few days now. Sunday morning was here, and hopefully as people started to come back out of their homes, they would return to their daily routines. He had been helping Red get the diner back going, and was looking forward to a bit of normal without a side of supernatural terror on the side.

"Hope you guys are ready," he called back to the rest of the staff, then went and turned the sign on the door to OPEN.

What: A quiet night on a date

It was a Sunday afternoon, and after talking to the staff at the diner, they were willing to run the place a few hours while Sam and Red went off on their own for a moment. As Sam had left to shower and change, he heard one of the waitresses joke that it would make the diner a smooch free zone for awhile, and he made a note that he and Red would need to talk about hiding a bit more when they kissed while at work.

But finally dressed and cleaned up, he waited outside the bed & breakfast in the Impala. He could at least drive them to the district, and hopefully Dean would be distracted enough by Selina that he wouldn't notice the car missing for awhile.

He would take Red to the part of the district FAR from where he and Snow had... yeah. That little few blocks along the water was off-limits. But he would make new memories with Red there instead.

Mandalus pulled people to it's city because they needed heroes, and well, the Winchesters usually fit into the Big Damn Heroes category when it came to that. The moment the city was in danger, any resemblance of normalcy was dropped and they loaded up on weapons and started to get people to safety and take out as many big and ugly things that they could.

When Ruby insisted on coming on their nightly hunt, Sam wanted to protest. However, the city pulled her there too to be a hero, so he couldn't make an argument to try and dissuade her. So that night, all three of them head into the Underground to start to clear out the bastards that were down that way.

When they came to a fork in the tunnels, Sam quickly flashed his light down both paths. "So, left or right?"

When: Jan 13th, brunch shift

It was the day after Cas had disappeared and the whole sleep spell incident. He had been 'cured' for a few days now, but beyond sleeping for almost a day, and then helping take care of Cas, Sam hadn't really reached out to the outside world.

But now, he had nothing to do, and things were starting to try and put themselves back into place. So Sam decided he was going to go back to work, and of course, see Red. With all the teasing from New Years, plus his own thoughts, he knew he needed to figure out what was going on between the two of them. But right now, he just wanted to see her and let her know that he was finally okay.

So he ducked his head into the diner just as the sunday brunch shift was starting, all cleaned up and feeling healthier than he had since he had arrived in Mandalus, and leaned up against the counter.

"So, I was wondering if maybe you were hiring still...?"
