Here is one last Snupin-type couple comparison from me: Alain and Christophe from The Lily and the Rose by Dany&Dany. The source material is once again from a manga (or rather, a manga-style graphic novel, since the authors aren't Japanese). It's sort of an historical yaoi romance set during the French Revolution. Our hard-working mod Lore recommended it to me awhile back, saying that the couple is very Snupin-ish, and she is definitely right about that!

This is a little belated, but I'm continuing the discussion of Snupin-like couples with another manga pairing. This time it's Iwaki and Katou from Embracing Love by Youka Nitta (original Japanese title: Haru wo Daiteita).

I see the Snape/Lupin relationship as enemies or rivals. (Who later become reluctant allies and eventually lovers.) Which in hindsight made me realize that my first fandom OTP (Leon/D from Pet Shop of Horrors) has a similar theme.

This is your lucky day, everyone, because we're going to have a fun discussion that I hope will carry on throughout the weekend!

ComicCon started as a convention for comic book fans but somewhere along the line, likely with the rise of superhero blockbuster movies, ComicCon shifted to become an all-encompassing entertainment extravaganza. If you're a fan of any genre TV show, or looking forward to the next franchise movie, you're probably already familiar with ComicCon, and whatever social media you follow is positively drowning in news. All this inspired today's topic:

What other couples in any media (books, TV, movies, video games, etc.) remind you of your vision of the Snape/Lupin relationship?

Discussion questions & logistics:
> Keep it to one couple per post and put the couple's names in the subject line. You can make multiple posts.
> Couples can be any mix of genders or other that you wish. (3CPO/R2D2? Fine!)

Drabble/Drawable night (part two) starts in half an hour. As always feel free to show up early! :D

I'm going to be writing and hanging out in chat for the next six hours or so if anyone wants to pop in and keep me company. I was wondering if anyone has suggestions or requests for drabble night times or content. I was thinking lore sometimes gives us a monthly theme and we could do a drabble or two in response to the current months' theme or even make up our own theme. Also are there any requests for days and times for drabble night? Weekends usually seem to work best for everyone, but I can host them pretty much whenever. Should I go back to having two drabble nights in a row (one in the A.M. one in the P.M. my time) to make it easier for everyone who is interested can play?

I have no idea how such a list was compiled, but I think Remus and Severus fare quite well on it. So, what do you think? Where would Remus and Severus fall on your list, looking at the characters considered and the comments that bring up even more shag-able blokes?

For this month's Decade of Snape/Lupin entry, I thought I'd serve up a couple of recs from hpcon_envy, plus a little discussion that one of the stories inspired about Remus working with his hands.

I had planned to post a short ficlet for my Snupin Showers entry, but it got a little out of hand and isn't finished yet. However, I did have this prepared as a back-up just in case, and I will try to get the fic done and posted as soon as possible. The fic is done--you can find it here!

I love reading about werewolves, so I thought I would share a few books/series about werewolves that I really enjoyed, and take a look at how those werewolves compare and contrast with HP werewolves. I also came up with some potential Snupin crossover plotbunnies. I would like to work on the bunnies someday, but as I already have a backlog of projects lined up, please feel free to help yourself to any bunnies that catch your fancy!

The deadline to submit to C&A has passed, however, if you had something in the works and might still finish in the next week or so, you can send it along and take your chances. I'd like to have C&A finished sometime in early August, which means we're working on the layout now, but until it's further along, we can still be flexible.

This is the last post I will make on the zine, though, until it debuts. I still feel like we could have used more full-page art, but I understand that the regular community artists are a bit worn out right now. ~_^

So, if you have something in the works and still want to get it in, you're on borrowed time. No need to ask for an extension or to let me know it's coming - just submit. I'll let you know pretty quickly whether you're too late or not.

As we wind down the April challenge, I thought it might be fun to talk about Snape, Lupin and our Fools topic. You can either talk in general about Snape and Lupin, and times when they might have acted foolish in canon, or you can remember a moment in a fic where one or both were fools and share it with us.

Or, you are welcome to go back to the original Fools Challenge, pick a quote or image from the list, and discuss how it might apply to Snape/Lupin. Even tell us the bare bones of the story or image you wanted to create this month that you never got around to, if you want.
