This is a community for the discussion and adoration of the relationship between Severus Snape and Remus Lupin, of the Harry Potter fandom. Fiction, art, icons, photo manipulations, essays, color bars, discussion, recommendations, thematic lists, and any other post pertaining to both Snape and Lupin are allowed. Posts featuring Lupin or Snape alone - such as essays or news involving one of the characters - are acceptable as well as long as they are used sparingly.

Community Rules
1. Because this is a community open to all ages, all images and fiction should be placed behind a cut-tag, and marked in the cut-tag, subject line and/or headers with the appropriate ratings and warnings (see rule #2). Any general post with more than 10 lines should also have the bulk of the post behind a cut-tag (mod posts are the exception to this rule). If you do not know how to use a cut-tag, look here.
2. Stories, art, etc. should include the proper ratings and warnings, especially if mature or disturbing content are involved. To that end, please include the following header information when posting:
In the subject line: For fic: FIC: Title, rating [example: FIC: Remus Kisses Severus, G] For art: ART: Title, rating [example: ART: Untitled, NC-17] For challenges: CHALLENGE TITLE: Title, rating [example: HALLOWEEN: Trick or Treat, NC-17]
In the body of your art or fic post, include: Title: Author/Artist: Rating: G to NC-17, or 'mature/adult content' or 'NWS' if you have an objection to the MPAA-style ratings. Pairing(s)/character(s): Challenge: if applicable Summary: Disclaimer: Warnings: if there are any (squicks/kinks/what have you) Notes: anything else you want to add, such as word count, what community or person you wrote/drew for, betas, thank-yous, etc.
3. No flaming! Constructive criticism is acceptable and even encouraged, so long as it remains constructive and is aimed at a person's work. A flame is an attack on a person him/herself, and we don't want to see any of it. If we decide you have flamed someone, you will be removed as a member of the community and possibly reported to LJ abuse if there are grounds to do so.
4. Advertisements that are directly related to Remus Lupin/Severus Snape are welcome, but any spamming will not be tolerated. Spam posts (and the Mods are members of other communities as well, don't forget) will be dealt with by deletion. If you continue to spam the community, you will be banned. If there are any questions or complaints directed at advertisements on this community please write the mods.
4.5 Posts that are off-topic and have any version of "the mods can delete this if they want" in the text will be deleted and the user will be banned. Exceptions to this rule may be made at the moderators' discretions.
5. To reiterate, Snape-solo and Remus-solo content is welcome occasionally, however, a deluge of Lupin or Severus general work will cause the mods to take away this option. Snape and Lupin in relationships with other people only are not allowed on the community. However, if there is a significant Lupin/Snape relationship in a story where one or both of the men have other relationships, that is allowed. When in doubt, ask by emailing the mod account (lupinsnape @ gmail. com - no spaces). We're around and want to see your stories/art/etc. on the community, so if you feel you have something borderline, please send us mail or post. Most of you have excellent judgment and will be fine. And we're very nice to the people who occasionally make a bad call. If you prefer another pairing, please visit remus_centric and snape_rarepairs.
6. Because there are issues not covered by the rules above, we decided to put this rule in place: Participation in this community is at the discretion of the moderators. That said, no one has been banned from the community since the current mods came on board in 2004.
