 Howard Stark had a dream to create a school where the best and the brightest could shine. Charles Xavier had a dream where mutants and humans could peacefully coexist. Each opening schools where such dreams could come into fruition, they would forever change the world, as would the students and staff that would find their home there.
After surviving everything from the Mutant Registration Act to a HYDRA invasion of New York City, it seems that things are finally settling down. The X-Men debuted as a team to help bring mutants in need to the Xavier school and also promote peaceful coexistence. The world appears to be at peace, even if it is far from perfect. Even Howard Stark's tragic death earlier this year doesn't seem to have much of an effect on the students of his school or of Xavier's, but their world is about to be rocked again and this time it will need to be avenged. Now is as good a time as ever to join MARVEL PREP as we begin to transition into a new chapter of the game where the world will need more than the X-Men to save them. DESPERATELY SEEKING

Toto, this doesn't quite seem like Kansas anymore. The island is far from the world you remember. This isn't your home, this isn't even Earth from as far as you can tell. But why? How did you get here? It seems the whims of an unknown and forgotten goddess has decided to make you her plaything, dragging you from your world and timeline and placing you on an inescapable island. Welcome to Twisted Island, where anything can happen and it usually does. The island changes with the mood of the goddess. It’s her playground and you are one of the very many toys in it. But you’re not alone. There are others stuck on the island just like you and if you’re lucky the goddess didn't just steal you away, but friends and family you know as well. Best idea though? Make friends, powerful friends. Make sure there are people to watch your back because when the island starts to change, you're going to need every little bit of help you can get. Will you survive, or will you give up and break under the pressure? Apply and become one of the many playthings that the goddess loves to toy with on Twisted Island. | You awaken to the sweet smell of flowers and the tang of ocean salt in the air. The sun is shining and it's a beautiful day! You and your fellow arrivals have been chosen to create your own civilization on the island of Paradiso by the Powers That Be. You might feel just the slightest bit dizzy and fuzzy; your memories have been altered in such a fashion that you believe you've volunteered for this project. You'll arrive with the clothes on your back and whatever you happen to have on your person at the time; the first arrivals will also have a few helpful tools to start, but on the whole, your job on the island is to build your society from the ground up. Don't try calling out to friends and family — why would you? You've volunteered, so of course you've already let them know you'll be unavailable for the foreseeable future — because you're on a whole new planet. Good luck getting that cell phone to work. While you're here, you'll be expected to build shelter for yourselves. You'll need to hunt, gather, or garden to acquire food and there are plenty of freshwater lakes on the island for water. If you want more than the outfit you're currently wearing, you'll have to make new clothes. You'll be living off the land. ...it might be easiest if you all work as a team. No laws, no leaders, no religion; what kind of society will you help to build? Welcome to Paradiso. We're looking forward to seeing the new world as built up by you. Paradiso is an oc-friendly panfandom game set in the middle of a social experiment being conducted by powers unknown in an attempt to re-establish civilization. Characters will be awaken on the island and will have no initial access to a steady food supply, electricity, hot water, or any other creature comforts; they will need to build, maintain, and expand their own working society with the supplies they can find and the skills they possess. If nothing felt particularly resolved when the last Chitauri warrior fell still after the battle for New York, one thing was clear. The world had changed. Super-powered individuals were no longer the remnants of half-believed legend, written off as freak accidents, or simply the pet project of self-impressed billionaires. They became real--a valid topic for political and social debate. For every whole-hearted supporter donning a 'Tony Stark' haircut, there was at least one person who felt it was simply the next phase of vigilante justice (and that it should be terribly illegal). The visibility of the Avengers spurred the growth of more costumed super people--villains and heroes and the more morally muddy all amongst their ranks. If anything was clear, it was that the world had just become more complicated--and out of the shadows would come forces intent on ensuring that not every victory would feel so decisive. Gravity: Chapter 1 is a Marvel role play group psl set in the Cinematic Universe, canon through the end of The Avengers. The game has a lifespan of between six to nine months with a plan in place for continuation. Our hope is to provide an active and interactive community for Marvel muses that will make the community as dynamic as Marvel films and comics. |
