Hey, guys! I'm new, and I've got Clint Barton (aka Hawkeye) so far, though I plan on eventually bringing in Union Jack if things pan out. Here's the rundown on Clint:
Hawkeye (![[info]](https://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) greatatboats) is good at shooting things. He was recently hijacked by Loki, and that sucked. But then Natasha hit him in the head, and he saved New York, and that was awesome! He lives in a tiny apartment in Brooklyn and works for SHIELD.
His history is very similar to comic book Clint's, except that after he left the circus, he briefly joined the marines before quitting (by which I mean pretending to die and running off.) He then became a mercenary, living on the run in the urban wilderness of everywhere but here. He was found by SHIELD some years later and offered a choice: go to jail, face a military court martial or join SHIELD. He picked the one without jail, which, incidentally, is kind of a perfect fit for him.
He's been an agent for a long ass time now, and he enjoys sassing the new recruits. He also likes purple, but only in moderation. He was the one who recruited Natasha, which he's been told almost makes him worth his salary.
(He also only has one icon because I broke my computer, and haven't been able to save or upload more from my iPad. I will attempt to fix that in the next several days.)

SORRY GUYS. but here i am in all my glory(?) I am Nat, Australian, crazy lady. More importantly, I bring you Agent 19, Ms Bobbi Morse.
She's smarter than she looks, has a PhD in biochemistry from Georgia Institute of Technology, and is a badass SHIELD agent. She's attached to Project: Gladiator, which is trying to recreate the Super Soldier serum, and while in theory she's provided security as well as expertise, what she actually does is run around the world looking into rumours about other attempts to do the same thing. Which makes her very interested in Steve (hi Steve ;)) for Science Reasons, but also she's a flirt and who wouldn't flirt with him?
In her occasional moments of downtime she likes beer, pizza and football. What am I kidding, she doesn't really get downtime. But feel free to try and remind her that it's important, sometimes.

Hey everybody!
It's May again with one more character. Y'all know the good Dr. Bruce Banner. He's got some pretty serious anger management issues, but, you know, other than the enormous green rage monster thing, he's a pretty decent guy. He's heavily based on Avengers Bruce (hence the Mark Ruffalo PB), but he's got some of the The Incredible Hulk's backstory woven in, plus some wiki-sourced comic canon.
Since the invasion, he hung out with Tony having science funtimes for a couple of days before skedaddling back to India. He's been kind of a freelance tech consultant for SHIELD since then, but mostly he's been happy to be left alone. Obviously, he knows all the other Avengers from the movie, but could be cool for him to have met some of the SHIELD agents assigned to watch him/be liaisons for his technical work, if there are any volunteers for that.
I think it's best if he stays far, far away from the subway opening (because tight spaces + large crowds + general unpredictability = no beuno for Bruce. That said, if anyone wants to ICly try to convince him to come via text, meeting, carrier pigeon etc., I would totally be down for that!
Throw plots, character relations, enemies etc. at me plzthnx?

Hello! It looks like I just got in under the wire! My name is Jillian and I'm pretty sure I've gamed with some of you before :) I've never played a gpsl before so I'm excited to try out this format in a world that is obviously so crazy awesome. I've been haunting the various character profiles the last week or two and I'm so excited to play with so obviously a dynamic group :)
This handsome asshole is Pietro Maximoff, former reluctant member of the Brotherhood of Mutants, current grifter and all-around vagabond. Having recently untethered himself and his sister from Magneto's coattails prior to his attack on San Francisco, Pietro's enjoying his autonomy in the land of Milk and Honey (or Bread and Circuses, depending on how charitable he's feeling towards the US). Unaware of SHIELD, feeling rather secure in his anonymity, New York is proving to be great for superhero watching and comfortable living.
Any ideas on Plots? Hopefully his sister will be arriving soon for Extra Delicious Twin Mayhem :)

Heyyyy everyone! I'm Zoe, and I was holding off with my intro until I got #2 in here. Now that I have, my brief introduction!
I've already been poking around a bit with Wolverine (intransient). I patched together his history from Wolverine: Origins and the three X-Men movies and filled in the blanks with some comics bullshitting and references to the movie that isn't quite out yet (and, well, avoiding that because it's not quite out yet), so if you've seen those, you pretty much know what there is to know. Or you can just use this for reference.
Then there's Jessica Jones (unadorned)! She's from the comics and hasn't been in any of the movies, sadly, so for those of you who aren't familiar with her, the short run-down is that she goes to high school with Peter (she has a huge crush on him) and Gwen and has superpowers and a foul mouth but kind of wants to be a superhero now that the Avengers are big news. And I'm really, really excited for how badly that's going to go.
So that's all! Comments/questions/plots? Gimme!

Wooo fresh meat. I'm KaOS, and I come bearing a snarky robot! His name is Aaron Stack, and while his codename is Machine Man...he'll probably tell everybody to call him Aaron anyway. He has Issues, okay. And since he's not actually part of MCU I WILL BABBLE AT YOU ABOUT HIM for a short bit.
Those involved with S.H.I.E.L.D. might have a better idea of his deal; teeeechnically he counts more as their property than an actual agent, being a robot and all, no matter how fully sentient he is, but he's generally used as the latter anyway. Because of the sentient part. After a military contract went wonky (read: the combat androids they were building went apeshit and kind of killed some people, seriously WHY DO THEY KEEP TRYING TO MAKE ATTACK ROBOTS was Hammer not enough proof it's a terrible idea) Aaron was the last man, er, robot standing from the series. Being of reasonably sound mind, and also not as homicidal as his mechanical brothers, he quite reasonably went on the run, considering the military was still trying to turn him into spare parts because they (wrongly) assumed he was ALSO off his programming. S.H.I.E.L.D. intervened, once they'd put it together that he was the only fully successful unit to come out of the program, and offered him asylum and protection so long as he agreed to turn himself over to them. So he did. And now he's their personal drone.
Yeah, he might be a little sore about it. But they compensate him in beer so it's mostly okay (don't ask why or how he drinks beer, nobody really knows). He's a robot, and proud of it, but mostly acts like an egotistical teenager having a tantrum and threatens people/gets really excited about maybe killing people often. Because he's a robot with feeeeeelings (go read Nextwave. It will explain this fully. Do it. It's awesome. And ridiculous).
...also he spent a glorious weekend at the X-Mansion being socialized before the robots went crazy. So mutant types feel free to at least recognize him as that weird metal guy who had no idea how to interact with the nice mutant kids and was kind of a know-it-all show-off.

Hey everybody, Cap here and I'll be playing everyone's favorite Asgardian. (Even if he's not I'm just going to pretend he is, so whatever.)
After the Chitauri attack and his departure from Earth, I'd like to imagine Thor's just been trying to acclimate to things back home. Sure he's played the part of the hero and no doubt can boast about the battle of New York, but the ultimate loss of his brother has definitely made the victory a hollow one. With the Allfather weakened still, there will be a lot in Asgard to keep Thor busy for quite some time. He's not quite ready to take his father's place as king, but he'll have to help with the more meandering tasks, (aka all the boring stuff), in order to let Odin turn his attention to where it's most needed. And with a certain murdering trickster getting off with a prison sentence, I'm sure he'll have a hell of a time trying to smooth things over.
TLDR; No. Thor can't come out and play. No more shawarma with the guys until things are relatively normal on Asgard again.

Hi all!
I'm May and I'll be playing the illustrious Pepper Potts. Although she's not actually an Avenger, I think it'll be pretty easy to connect her with almost everybody. She's been CEO of Stark Industries for a little over a year now and, obviously, the core Avengers will know her through Tony. She's... well, she Pepper so she's pretty uptight, but personally I think that'll just increases the potential for hilarity! I'm always up for plotting at my contact post.
Oh, and just as a heads up, I'm only familiar with movie canon, so please forgive me if I don't immediately recognize everyone's characters! I'll do some wiki research, I promise :)
