![]() Howard Stark had a dream to create a school where the best and the brightest could shine. Charles Xavier had a dream where mutants and humans could peacefully coexist. Each opening schools where such dreams could come into fruition, they would forever change the world, as would the students and staff that would find their home there.
After surviving everything from the Mutant Registration Act to a HYDRA invasion of New York City, it seems that things are finally settling down. The X-Men debuted as a team to help bring mutants in need to the Xavier school and also promote peaceful coexistence. The world appears to be at peace, even if it is far from perfect. Even Howard Stark's tragic death earlier this year doesn't seem to have much of an effect on the students of his school or of Xavier's, but their world is about to be rocked again and this time it will need to be avenged. Now is as good a time as ever to join MARVEL PREP as we begin to transition into a new chapter of the game where the world will need more than the X-Men to save them. DESPERATELY SEEKING

The receiving room lights, a hot white halogen array, greet you when you wake up. The room is small, with only some dated medical monitoring equipment, a metal gurney, a cylindrical security camera, and a locker beside the door. All of it was a sterile white once upon a time, but has been aged with mildew and mold. You are covered in a hospital gown and nothing else. That's alright, your clothing is waiting for you in the locker with a yellowed envelope on top of it. Inside is a letter printed on old perforated printer paper with the side tabs still attached.
Once you exit the room with your belongings, the door locks. There will be no way to return to that room, and there is no sign of a way out. |

Wars are often fought, and often forgotten, and on Arbas al Uat this is not simply a fact of life, but life itself. Pulled away from worlds, families, and missions they do not remember, twenty teams of Blanks fought against each other. They made alliances and enemies, killed and died, and in the end one team stood victorious over the rest. They were returned their memories. They were returned to their homes. That was eleven rounds ago. At the start of the twelfth round of the War, only nine teams yet remain. Once again they have forgotten everything but the fleeting sense of camaraderie with their own team, and the instilled distrust of all others. This is War, after all, and even without recollection of the previous eleven rounds, they tire of the endless loop. Fight, steal, deal, survive, and always always try to get ahead. To be better means to escape. The best teams won early, and escaped long ago, but now to be the best of the worst still means a chance at freedom. At home. | ||||

The hero looked desperately around for anyone who might be of help. He was alone. The pirate grinned, and pulled out a dagger. The hero looked around for cover. There is none, so he backed up against the wall, praying that the pirate didn't have the key. The pirate didn't, but unfortunately he also had an excellent arm. Excruciating pain overwhelmed all of the hero's senses, as he sunk to the ground, the dagger embedded in his chest. Next time, he'd have to remember not to insult the man's mom. It was obviously a terrible tactical strategy. His last thought was about how very much he wished the internet had been invented here so that he could look up things like “diplomacy” or “gypsy curses.” He was desperately trying to recall something from his psychology class when his heart finally stopped, and everything went black. Sunlight streamed through the stable window, and the hero blinked a bit before sitting up to find a man with a pitchfork staring at him. “Did the wizard send ya?” the man asks accusingly. The hero buries his face in his hand. Oh no....Not again..... GAME OPENS WITH 15 CHARACTERS |

Deceptive Perception is a game unlike most games out there today. The players are encouraged to remain anonymous while playing in order to suspend reality even more than normal. This also encourages those who might not ever meet or know each other to play together and, eventually, want to know each other. Think of this game as a place to let go of any preconceptions about anyone you may have ever met online and just play with the characters that are set out before you. The characters are supernatural beings who have existed for as long as mortal stories have been told - vampires, demons, and werewolves just to name a few. That's not to say that mortals don't still over-run the lands, but the constant supernatural presence does make some more mindful of what places they venture into on dark and stormy nights. The land itself, known as Inora, is unlike any other place within the mortal realm. The lands consist of a set of islands that cradle more than just mortals in its loving embrace. The islands were said to have been created by the vampires long ago when mortals were still young and easily manipulated. They gave themselves a place to live among the mortals who feed them, among the mortals who they rely on. They used their magic and knowledge to shape the lands to their desires while painting the earth red with blood. Eventually, other races were thrown into the fray and a century of war was fought for supremacy. Centuries passed between rulers and the times of war seemed to almost be forgotten. Even when some rulers' deaths seemed somewhat unnatural, the treaty between the demons and vampires was always upheld. Those cursed descendants of man, werewolves, always presided over the ceremonies unto which the power of the government changed hands. Eventually, the winds of change blew through the lands and the times evolved as well. New cities sprang up in the wilds and an industrial revolution took hold. But even something as simple as your perception can be deceptive and nothing is ever perfect... There are copious amounts of characters needed in the game to flesh out the royal families and houses. All those currently not filled have been placed up on the Needed & Wanted Page in order to make it easier for potential players to see what is going on during the "building" process. Names that are listed can be altered to suit writers' tastes. These are merely suggested names to act as placeholders in the histories of characters who have already been accepted. We know these people exist, but we don't know everything about them. Please help us find out just who they are! Writers of this game should have control over their own story lines and, as long as nothing really drastic is needed, the mod will not intervene to stop plots unless it is deemed necessary to keep the game from jumping the shark. Of course, personal story lines are encouraged, but you are also encouraged to play with the group rather than just one or two others. Our intended opening date is January 2009, most likely Sunday the 4th. Applications are open and holds will not begin expiring until the 1st of January so if you want a few extra days, now is the time to make your hold! |

![]() “It's the beginning of the end I don't know where we lost control. It's the beginning of the end and I know that I am all alone.” - Spineshank Beginning of the end A city lies behind a great wall, seemingly empty but this isn’t any ordinary city. It is Ash Valley, a city owned by the Umbrella Corporation and used for experimentation. It resembles Raccoon city in structure but unlike Raccoon city, Ash Valley is unpopulated…at the moment. This soon changes as the Umbrella Corporation begins their most complex experiment. With their most advanced technology and highly trained agents, the corporation begins rounding up people to begin their experimentations. Some of these people are your average every day Joes, some of them are supernatural creatures, some of them aren’t even from this time or this world. They are all gathered together and left in Ash Valley. Why? So that the Umbrella Corporation can observe and experiment on them but these test subjects aren’t alone. Bodies infected with the T-virus have also been placed in the city. ![]() Here are the facts: Stuff you need to know for the game +The Umbrella Corporation has brought you to a city called Ash Valley using various means. You might not remember the exact who and how but what you do remember is a group of agents dressed in black capturing you and injected a red liquid into your arm, knocking you out. When you wake up you find yourself in the center of the city. +Ash Valley appears deserted at first but you’ll quickly learn that there are others in the city much like yourself, kidnapped and dropped here without any reason. These people will be from all walks of life and from various times and places in history. Some of them are heroes, some of them are killers, and some of them are just confused. +There are other creatures within Ash Valley as well. These are Zombies. There are not a huge number of them but there’s enough to cause trouble. + Throughout your stay in Ash Valley the Umbrella Corporation will be experimenting on you and generally fucking with you…all in the name of science of course. +Your goal? To stay alive as long as possible but the city is dangerous and the people around even more so. You cannot trust anything or anyone here so thread lightly. ![]() Just so we’re clear: This is a horror game that is loosely based on the first and second Resident Evil movies. It does not follow Resident Evil cannon exactly and it doesn’t have any ties to the video games. This is a multi-fandom game so characters from almost any genre and fandom are allowed. There are a few fandoms that are not allowed in this game and they are: Anime Harry Potter ![]() Sound interesting? Want to know more? Check out the following links.
