What if Anne Boleyn really was a witch?


In a time when the kings of England were second to none, a man called Henry VIII took six wives, incited a religious uprising, and ostracised England from the rest of Europe, all for the sake of having a son.

That's not how it goes in our story though.

In Henry's place is Sirius III, who at forty years old is at the height of his reign. With his brother, Regulus, being declared dead over two decades ago, he is under enormous pressure to produce a son and heir to secure the throne of England for the Blacks. He loves his wife, but at long last the Queen is no longer able to have children, causing a rift between them.

All the while, several young ladies of the court seek his favour, and the lords, dukes, and earls who fill his council scheme to gain power for their families. Alliances are formed and broken in no time at all, and trust is a rare and precious thing amongst the court.

Henry had six wives, and only half of them made it out alive.

After the near destruction of Hogwarts in the summer of 1998, several changes were decided upon during its reconstruction. Hogwarts had always been a great place for learning, but lacked what some of the other magical schools had: a well-rounded education that focused on more than just magical mastery. With a helping hand from the newly established Ministry, several elective clubs and activities were created and formed to encourage expanded learning.

These changes have evolved over the years, slightly changing as professors came and went at the school, but never quite disappearing. In fact, Hogwarts has become very event-oriented and is now hailed as a hands-on teaching school.

There is still some harsh criticism from certain media outlets and former Hogwarts students that remember how the school used to be run. In fact, some would call the need to implement art as something required for learning to be quite piffling.

Piffled is a game set in the school year 2022-2023, focusing on students from 5th to 7th year. An event oriented game, students are encouraged to participate in as many clubs, school activities, and events as possible. As a reminder, all students are required to take one fine art elective "club" to keep up with Ministry requirements.

The year is 2003. The war has been over for five years and the world is slowly falling back into place for many. Families are growing, people are working, and finally it seems like the peace that was promised when You-Know-Who fell has finally arrived for so many.

But, for some, life just isn't all that they had hoped for.

When Heir Island (or Inishodriscol) was renovated and turned from a small Muggle holiday island to a small wizarding settlement in 2002, no one had really expected for it to attract those who just cannot find their place in the world. Everyone on Heir Island seems to have a secret or, at the very least, a reason to be running from the world. While their occupations and families might be on the mainland, the island is their retreat and the place that they seem to escape from it all. No one is sure why it turned out that way, but misery does love company.

Will these escapists be able to find whatever it is that is missing from their life on Heir Island? Can they truly run away from their ghosts and pasts? Or will they be forced to confront their demons?

Lord Voldemort has won.


The year is 1979, and things have gone all wrong. Voldemort gained followers and power quickly and the Order of the Phoenix was unable to stop him. In the midst of a big battle that took place at the Ministry of Magic, England was practically destroyed. Explosions filled the air that night, curses were flying in all directions. Too much magic in one, confined space. Things began to crumble and many died with it; witch, wizard, and muggle included. The whole country is in chaos, mass panic filling the air. Muggles are blaming a meteor crash, saying that it fell directly onto London and vanquishing most things around it. The magical folk are the only ones who know the truth, that something happened that night at the Ministry. No one is sure what exactly, but whatever it was... was powerful and now all of England lies in shambles.

The Wizarding World needs a leader. It needs hope. It needs a future.

What will that future be?

The news is out. Witches and wizards are real, and now the muggles of America know this to be fact. Already people have taken sides, those for and against their very existence. Some witches have already suffered at the hands of more violent protesters, ending in tragedy on the campus of a Roanoke wizarding school. Burning at the stake has become a reality.

Graduation has come and gone, but the seniors aren't going anywhere. The Bureau of Magic needs them to protect the school from outside forces. Some call it volunteer service, some call it a draft. Some call it an opportunity, some call it oppression. Those who have chosen to stay are banding together to defend friends and family.

But they may just learn that when they stand together, they burn together.
