DARK MARK RISING. ADULT MARAUDER'S ERA GAME. As the teachers drone on, there's something different in the air at Hogwarts. Danger is lurking in every corner, peeking in windows, and infiltrating the castle. Lord Voldemort graduated with a group of minions only a few years ago, but he is still their leader. His magic, followers, and power are growing stronger daily, but so is his nerve. Always weary of Dumbledore, Lord Voldemort would never risk entering Hogwarts and causing chaos himself. Instead, he will use his minions, now known as "Death Eaters". Secret monthly meetings with selected few will allow Lord Voldemort the cover he so desperately seeks. He is providing his subjects with a cursed item or potion, and a desired target. From there, Death Eaters must go to all lengths to prove him or herself to the Dark Lord, or punishment will ensue. But Dumbledore is fast catching on. As attacks slowly break out and accumulate, he will be forced into sealing Hogwarts. Students and teachers will be locked in, while the Ministry, parents, and visitors will be locked out. Mail will be thoroughly checked, rechecked, and checked again. Questionable students will be questioned harshly. All outdoor activities will be cancelled. Lord Voldemort will have to come up with clever plans to get his dangerous weapons into Hogwarts, but his followers are loyal as ever. WANTED. It's 1977; school's out for Summer, but this Summer feels strange... dark, somehow. It won't be long before school will start again, and Owls from Hogwarts are winging their way across the country with the promise of another perfectly normal year at Hogwarts. Homework will be piled on, the threat of looming exams being beaten into ignorant minds, but for now, at least, it's Summer, yet... something doesn't feel right. It's so much darker this year than it was last year. The days seem to be shortening beyond comprehension. The fog is thick and cold and constant, not to mention the fact that everyone seems so glum. There are disappearances being noted in the newspaper, but everything seems vague, as though someone knows what is going on, but too afraid to voice it aloud. The adults seem a bit on edge, uncertain how to handle the evil that is lurking in the shadows. The students, for the most part, are completely unaware of what is going on, even those whose parents are deep in the throes of swearing their allegiance to one side or another. The students, it seems, live in a world of their own, one untouched by the misery and doom of the outside world. Still, there seems to be something very unpleasant lurking unsaid, something creeping and crawling into the very veins of those it infects. Though there are only whispers, and people are afraid to voice their fears out loud, there are some things that cannot be fought. After all, it's difficult to feel protected by magic when the other side can use it, too.

"Imagine that Voldemort’s powerful now. You don’t know who his supporters are, you don’t know who’s working for him and who isn’t; you know he can control people so that they do terrible things without being able stop themselves. You’re scared for yourself, and your family, and your friends. Every week, news comes of more deaths, more disappearances, more torturing … The Ministry of Magic’s in disarray, they don’t know what to do, they’re trying to keep everything hidden from the Muggles, but meanwhile, Muggles are dying too. Terror everywhere … panic … confusion … that’s how it used to be."– Sirius Black The year is 1978. Across Europe the Wizarding Community lives in fear. Voldemort and his followers are on the rise, leaving behind a reign of terror in their wake. As Voldemort’s supporters increase and more Wizards are murdered or go missing, Wizards and Witches begin to grow even more uneasy and terrified, and an increasing number choose to fall prey to his Empire, out of fear for their lives, unwilling to stand up and fight. Despite the increasing danger to their loves, a small group of vigilante Wizards, led by Albus Dumbledore, has begun a rebellion, daring to do what the Ministry will not; fight. The Order of the Phoenix is slowly forming into a force to be reckoned with, a threat to not only Voldemort, but the Ministry itself. Change is on the brink for the students of Hogwarts. No longer will they be safe behind the confines of the castle, unaware to the real dangers of the world. They will soon be forced to make their own loyalties known; a decision that will affect not only the rest of their lives, but the entire Wizarding World. Choices have already been made for those just out of Hogwarts. They have picked their sides and now they must live with the decisions they have made. Amongst all of this darkness, the Order is the light needed to give the Wizarding World the power to take on Voldemort’s forces. As both sides fight to gain support, one question still lies: which side will you choose?

spliffy: harry potter, next generation Under the warm sunshine, another summer is coming to a close and there are students eagerly (or not so eagerly) returning to Hogwarts; the girls are loitering, the boys are ogling, and the gossip is lingering, as is always the case in a group of teenagers. Love faces off with sex, grades face off with parties, and truth faces off with falsities in the everyday drama at Hogwarts. However, since the Battle of Hogwarts, the Ministry of Magic has been slowly working on new protective measures to prevent such an event from ever threatening Great Britain's schools again. As years have passed, new restrictive spells have been cast on the grounds of Hogwarts. At the beginning of this school year, under the decree of Kingsley Shacklebolt, a radically developed charm will be cast over the entire grounds as a means to prevent the approach of evil spirits of any sort. Unbeknownst to the returning students and staff, however, this spell has a glaring flaw which has not yet been revealed; it cuts off all contact with the outside world. As students and teachers are separated from their parents, their families and the rest of Great Britain, what will they do to cope? Can they band together in support, or will they attack one another in bouts of cabin fever? Though all faculty members are hard at work to find a counter-spell, it may not come fast enough to save some friendships, relationships, or even lives. Oh, and there's spliff. |
