She hadn't wanted to do it to begin with, and she hadn't been surprised when it had failed. She'd warned Harry that it might - it was really advanced magic. Stuff they shouldn't even be messing with. But he'd been insistent, and she'd finally caved with the impression that it wouldn't work.

Harry had been devastated of course, but then they were going their own ways for summer.

Neither of them tied the miraculous recovery of Frank and Alice Longbottom to the spell. Why would they? It was a spell meant to return a certain dead man to the land of the living, not restore sanity to those tortured out of it.

But when a woman showed up to an orphanage looking for her son Tom - a son who was now several decades older than her and masquerading under another name - there were a few questions. She was the first to return ...

... but she wasn't the last.


Around Again is an AU HP RPG set during the trio's sixth year and loosely paralleling the events of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Deviations from the plot are expected.

LONDON / The magical world of which Harry Potter was apart is a much difference place these days. Six years have passed since the end of Voldemort and life is finally continuing "normally". The economy is growing, Muggleborn rights have increased, and Quidditch has returned to the booming industry it use to be. Those Death Eaters or purists who escaped jail-time are slowly attempting to weave their back into society. Not everyone is happy-go-lucky and satisfied with change. Politics remain a heated battle. Kingsly's ministry is still fairly popular, but will not last forever. The Boy Who Lived (twice) is struggling to fit into a normal life. Many are still confused about what they're suppose to do next or who they will become now...

heroing is a Post-DH canon game set in 2004. While there are no epilogue enforcements, players are encouraged to develop their characters as they see fit. Connecting to our player base is made easy! We offer tons of storylines (to include your basic friendships to more complex relationships) for incoming characters/players to fill. We're friendly, still somewhat small, but growing.

Characters we're particularly interested in include;

RONALD WEASLEY- Your best friend Harry Potter could really use some comic relief now and again. Live-in girlfriend, Hermione Granger, would love to see you around. And your sister Ginny could use some more cheering support at her Quidditch games!

ANGELINA JOHNSON- is needed by her incredibly fun friends, Katie Bell & Alicia Spinnet. Katie is stuck in a dead-end job she hates, while Alicia has made it in the big Quidditch leagues. Someone needs to keep these two in check.

PARVATI PATIL- Padma is in need of her other half! Whats one twin without the other? No doubt Lavender would love to see her BFF. Many members of the DA are around as well - particularly Gryffindors Harry, Hermione, and Seamus. Zacharias Smith thinks you would be great as his personal assistant/publicity manager.

ERNIE MACMILLAN and JUSTIN FINCH-FLETCHLEY- Our Hufflepuff males are seriously lacking. Zach is having to deal with the girls by himself! Michael Corner is looking to pick a fight with Ernie as well!

DAPHNE GREENGRASS- (recast) Theodore regards Daphne as the 'favorite' of his cousins - this may or may not have to do with the fact that he does not like Astoria or Malcolm in the slightest. Still, even with Daphne, he remains aloof. Theodore is friendly toward her in the surface but holds her at arms length. She is one of the few people who knows the role he played in his mother's death. The knowledge of this secret is what keeps him from wanting to be close friends with her.
