Plot/Background Before Play Begins:
It has been nine years since the last blow was struck against the enemy.
The war did not end cleanly, however. Years of scorched earth and blazing sky rendered the islands of Britain wasteland in parts, crackling in magic in others. While life has resumed normalcy to the hundreds of wizards that roam England, there are those who must watch and defend against the magic that yet remains, buried in the earth but lying dormant... waiting for a trigger to snap. And with this turning of the earth has come the struggle against those who are not human - the goblins, the werewolves, the undead that snarl in the blackness. Vengeance was vowed when the Dark Lord fell and to those who are immortal, an oath of blood runs through the veins of a century. As muggles begin to march and ghosts lie in wait, the wizarding world stands on the edge of a very long fall.
The year is 2008.
Those who would defend the Light against these perils are not the Aurors, but another force known as the Regulators. It is their mission to halt the erosion of the wizarding world and protect wizards and muggles alike from the reaches of the supernatural. Their task is daunting, their numbers few but those who raise arms do so with hope that they can be a shield against the long night that awaits.

Sixth Year and the death of Albus Dumbledore brought many changes to the wizarding world. For the first time ever the Ministry of Magic was forced to recognize that Lord Voldemort had indeed returned. After years of denial they were not prepared for the reality that was to be war.
Now, two years later, the whole of the wizarding society has become unregonizable. Lord Voldemort has fallen at the hands of Harry Potter but not without severe consequences. War ravaged and in ruins, the first survivors began to slowly show their faces and began to return to their lives. But after years of fighting or hiding what are they really returning to?

Are you growing tired of all those Post War games that seem to be popping up left and right now that the seventh book has been released? This game will take you back - back to when there were games where plot was the centric focus and things weren't always happy. Instead, they were serious, dark, and unknown. At Snitched, Voldemort was never defeated that night when Hogwarts went under siege. In fact, that night has yet to occur because the Death Eaters arrived at Bill and Fleur's wedding and captured many key Order members and guests in attendance. Some died, but most were imprisoned or fled somewhere safe. Since that fateful night, Voldemort has gained innumerable strength to the point where he is unstoppable. He owns the Ministry and the Wizarding World. Secretly, he owns the Muggle world and part of Europe where the Death Eaters flourish. Now that his reign is no longer contested, he has set about putting his plans into order. Muggleborns, Halfbloods, and those that are traitors to the cause are imprisoned. Some might be allowed out as slaves, providing of course that there are Death Eaters and purebloods who want them. Those that have yet to be caught are forced to flee and hide. Those that are still pureblooded are allowed to live neutrally amongst society. They are not forced to take the mark, but they are required to obey the new law - Voldemort's Law. Their loyalty must be unwavering - if they support another cause, then they must be absolutely mum about it. But word to the wise: Don't say Voldemort's name; the word itself will surely lead to the capture of those responsible no matter what their status in society. This game is not for the faint at heart. There will be dark themes and happiness will only be found in hidden corners or alleyways. There are those who will fight, who want Voldemort's reign to end, but doing so will take time, tears, blood, and sacrifice. |

We are a dark game that intends to go darker as the year progresses; canon is becoming AU as death eaters gain power more quickly, as the order loses its members and the ministry crumbles beneath the weight of dark magic, and as the Dark Lord searches for those who have thrice defied him - the Longbottoms. If you are looking for a plot heavy, highly interactive, close-knit community with a good pace, you may find us interesting. If you are a mature, well-written player who enjoys exploring darker roleplay, violence, tragedy, and the horrors of war, and you have a good sense of humor - we may find you interesting. We have a highly motivated team of players and a very passionate mod who likes to keep things organized but flexible. All characters are categorized to maximize involvement. Don't be intimidated! The War has begun..
It's January 1996, and the students of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry are returning to the school after the attack that left many of their fellow classmates dead, or injured. The school is repaired, but the memory of what happened when Tom Riddle tried to take over the school is still fresh.
Harry Potter is now publically known at "The Boy who Lived", he has gone for normal fifteen year old to Saviour of the wizarding world. His every moved is tracked by the Daily Prophet and Rita Skeeter- with the fame comes the misfortune of being enemy number one of the man the world has now coined "Lord Voldemort", who continues to gain followers in the Ministry of Magic, and elsewhere.
The world is changing, for everyone, and sides are being picked. Where will you stand?
