Severus Snape is Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and the Death Eaters are pretty much taking over every nook and cranny of the school. Students are terrified, and he has everyone right where he wants them - except for the one person who he wanted to keep his eye on the most. Harry Potter.
Harry, Ron, and Hermione are on the run, and have been for a few months now - ever since Fleur and Bill's wedding. They've been able to narrowly escape the danger of the outside world, but how long can this last? Especially when Kingsley Shacklebolt is about to be imperio'ed to enforce something new, something that will drive people to even more madness, and could quite possibly help Voldemort locate Harry's whereabouts.
A marriage law. Once a pureblood reaches the legal age of seventeen, they are to be put into the marriage program, and paired up with someone of the opposite affiliation to be wed to. Unless both parties and their parental figures object, and it is the Death Eater's side to want to decide against the marriage, they are bound by law to get married, and produce an heir within the first three years of their union, though it is encouraged to have a child within the first year of the marriage. They must be married within one year of the engagement (both of which have to be done properly), and have to live within the same residence within three months after the ceremony.
