WHO: Tributes
WHEN: Day #6. Spans from mid-morning until early evening. There is a lunch break.
WHERE: Underground gym
WHAT: Training for the 56th Hunger Games
STATUS: OPEN

The gym is located in the basement of the training center building. Above it sit each districtโ€™s personal living quarters for the tributesโ€™ stay in the Capitol. Tributes are escorted to the training center in the mornings and spend most of the day here. Lunch is provided at 1230 in the cafeteria off the gym. Afterward training ends for the day they are sent to spend time with mentors for strategy and discussion.

Tributes can interact as long as there are no physical altercations. Peacekeepers are at the ready for any needed interventions.

You give any more thought to Juniper's suggestion?

[D11 Mentors + Tributes]

How was your fourth day at training? I hope that you're making all them survival-type stations regular stops too. Also if you have any alliance requests, now's the time to give them to us.

[Chaff]

What do you think of Juniper's proposition? I believe we're obliged to mention it to Rye and Kelly as an option, but we need to present a united front of all the risks it could pose. It's a gamble which I don't like one bit. You and I have to can always come back next year, but Kelly and Rye just get one shot at it.

[ DISTRICT 1 ]
Is it normal for the Gamemakers to keep adding and taking away things during training?

[ DISTRICT 1 MENTORS AND TRIBUTES ]
Have the the mentors from Two and Four said anything about adding outliers to the pack yet? Especially now that we're only days away from the arena and I want to know who I can target for kills without pissing off everyone else.

There's definitely something going on with Boy Seven -- perhaps between him and the Gamemakers, even. There weren't any axes today and he was murderously angry about it. I don't know what it is, but I don't trust him, and he doesn't seem interested in our alliance anyway. And I don't want to be around if rocks fall on him like in Marcus Greenstone's Games. We'll have enough to worry about between the weird Fours and Two's back-stabbing habit without adding a wildcard like him who can tear people apart with his bare hands.

[ PECAN GLINT ]
I know I don't have your flair for manipulation or seduction, not like what you did during your Games. What do you think I should do if there's an outlier I don't trust at all in the pack, but can't put on a leash, so to speak? I've no intention of breaking the alliance early -- I'm good, but not that good.

Tell D7 I want Amelia. You can tell them about my problem. There were no axes in training today.

[GRIM BALLARD]
So speaking of forging alliances, both as a convenient excuse, and as an actual thing, it seems that there's some talk--significant talk--of creating a solid alliance between tributes from several outlying districts in the interest of attempting to take the Cornucopia away from the Careers. Significant talk that started with us, that's a risk but that could pay off significantly.

From a non-mentor perspective, from our perspective, what do you think?

[D5]
There were no axes in training today. I mean, I avoided using the weapons, but I didn't see them when I was heading over to first aid.

Does anyone know what's going on? Cause this is odd.

[ DISTRICT 7 AND 8 MENTORS ]
All right. There's been lots of talk about your big plan, Ash and Juniper. And the three of us over in 8 have been talking it over, with each other and with our kids. I won't beat around the bush. Neither of them are on board. I'm not sure I have to tell you why. And we've already heard about the axes being gone today, and if that's not a sign

Still, our kids have been interested in yours for a while. To hear them tell it they get on pretty well. Their skills are a pretty good match. From the sounds of it, your boy's got combat skills and your girl's got spunk. Ours are both smart, they're quick studies. Alex works in mechanics and he thinks right. He's creative and he'll be good at traps if he can get his hands on some supplies. Outside or industrial arena, they could probably deal with the arena.

So. Alex proposes that we set up a 7/8 alliance. He suggested that your boy could join the Careers and be a man on the inside, to take them down with others' help, but that's probably doomed to failure. The gist of what he'd like is to pair up, get some supplies, and wait for the advantage to strike against the Careers. Coming up with a specific plan is probably a waste of time, but between their skill sets, they could do some damage. Maybe even pull out a victory. They don't need raw numbers to pull that off. What they need is patience and brains. If your kids don't want that and are set on your plan, Alex at least would probably be interested in a loose agreement to work together, if they meet up again in the arena.

Our girl Ariadne wants your girl to know if she's not interested in this cornucopia storm and it goes through, she's got her as another option. I understand your kids probably want to stick together, and that's up to them. But if she wants to, she could ally with our girl.

That's it. Do with it what you want.

[D2]:
I trust you all have been keeping yourself busy and focused on important matters in these last few days of training, our Tributes especially, naturally. I also trust you have your Interview strategies all in check, and that if you had any questions whatsoever, Zipporah and Brock, dears, you would not cease in asking. Of course, I must be silly in supposing any tactics or strategies for the interview wouldn't be thoroughly thought out and on point at this point, yes?

Splendid. But just in case they aren't, do feel free to ask. I expect something you've been looking so forward to for so long is hardly old hat at this point, though if you have any insecurities, you have all the necessary resources at hand.

Speaking of resources, on the matter of sponsors and public opinion and such, Livya's gracious gift of cupcakes proved useful after all. We have several bakeries in the area that are selling District 2 cupcakes with festive rock themes. One of the better ones even has a rather lurid raspberry filling when you bite into it. Your public knows what they like!

That being said, tick tock on the clock, time is narrowing down, the usual and such. If you require anything, now is the time, the usual.

Raspberry-filled cupcakes in honor of District 2, just makes me so happy. Such a wonderful thing to see in the Capitol during this season! Best served with a knife and a plate as well, if I am not being too bold in saying so.
