Summary: L and Blythe meet, for what L thinks may be the last time. There is a whole lot he wants to say... and a whole lot he feels he's unable to. Blythe has been worried and confused, and needs to get some sort of sense that things are going to be OK.

Warnings: Beyond doesn't let anyone treat L like a bondage bitch. He's a MAD fanboy, for true.
Summary: L agrees to meet B in Emptiness when his worshiper/stalker/fanboy/former successor/prime suspect for a crime committed just to trip him up. Beyond is worried about L, and L is worried about L, not knowing quite what the obsessive Beyond might try.

Summary: This is most likely the last time L and Light will be meeting with each other before Matsuda and Misa are introduced and Light meets his timely demise. L says that the ends justify the means; Light is just mean.

Summary: Fresh from weathering a new set of mind games he's not allowed to fight against, L is riddled with doubt, guilt, and uncertainty, along with the knowledge that surviving the next week will be difficult even by CU standards. Wishing for some peace of mind and desperate for some form of non-antagonistic human contact, he goes to visit the two sleeping women and encounters Metatron, who might be able to help him soothe the storm in his soul.

Summary: L and Light meet after the Trial results are announced, to Light's chagrin and disappointment. L has to explain how he managed to fail foiling his team's efforts.

Summary: One by one, everyone shows up to meet with the Sphinx. Due to the mod issues, this isn't going to be a big thread, just one where people come in, post giving (or not giving) what they've found / figured out to Sphinx, and getting a reply from her. (If anyone by some chance did not get a riddle from me, though I THINK I got everyone, just email my mod email and i'll immediately share the riddle and its answer, and then you can decide if s/he solved it or not. D= I apologize for this. Otherwise, by default it'll be an unsolved one and that team won't get a point...?)

Summary: In order to either prove L means what he says when he talks of having feelings for Light or to cause the detective to break, Light has chosen to have L meet with him in a period Light knows L doesn't want to be seen or even noticed.

Warnings: Tension and Machiavellian angst. It is the facade of the century, and L will say things he doesn't mean in frighteningly convincing ways that may cause you to never believe a word he says ever again.
Summary: L, after contacting Light and claiming that he's realized the other man has been right all along, agrees to go to Niflheim to try and convince Light in person. Light, naturally, is skeptical of the sudden change of heart, and has a "test" of some sort planned to gauge L's loyalty. This is all part of L's master plan to kill Light (which is getting to the wire, now, and will happen after the new characters are introduced), so please remember what L is trying to. ENDS. JUSTIFY. MEANS.

When: Fancy Dress Day, after Kain and L fight on Kain's journal entry

Warnings: PEOPLE IN SILLY COSTUMES FIGHTING. Also, someone is getting poisoned.
Summary: Kain and L, totally fed up with each other, finally meet up for the fight they should have had long ago. In horrible, horrible outfits.

When: August 14, Shortly After the L/Light encounter.

Warnings: Mentions of horrors past, and a bit of mind-manipulation and controlled violence
Summary: "The Rest of the Story" could have been a second title for this thread. It's finished before it's even begun, considering that the only characters involved both belong to this player. I felt that it was somewhat important to thread, though, in order to avoid future confusion. The following is what happened with Mello and L after Mello stumbled upon the scene in the L/Light thread. Mello tells a story to the highly suggestible L, revising his reality to prevent him from doing anything rash after he realizes what actually almost happened with Light. He also gets some useful information about L's cameras, which he'll later share with Kain.

Who: Sphinx and the trial representatives
Where: The place beyond the door of the Room of Ceremonies.
When: The starting day of the trial.
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: Don't know.
Summary: After the first part of the first trial begins, and everyone is brought to the ceremony, each character is led individually into the place beyond the door to meet Sphinx, who will give them their trials.

[ooc: As helpful instructions, the order (though it doesn't have to be done in order OOCly, ICly, story-wise, it will) of people will be Mitch, Light, Mello, Blythe, Flauros, L, Jazz, Frank, Wesker and Maria. This is the order that the characters will be called in and given their riddle by Sphinx.

Every character is expected to post to THIS, not to other comments in this page, to start interaction with Sphinx, so that every character has a 'thread' with Sphinx within this page. This is to speed things along so that everyone gets their riddle in a somewhat vaguely timely manner, even if other people's schedules make them faster or slower to respond.

Characters will not be able to interact with anyone other than Sphinx in this thread, as Sphinx will be the only one present aside from the character entering the room, always.

When: August 14, the day after L and Blythe's "termination". Thursday's child has far to go.

Warnings: L is beyond pissed, and there is some sexual content.
Summary: On his way back from installing cameras in parts of Emptiness that L wants to use for the Trial while away from home, an old enemy is encountered. A gun fight ensues, in which L almost pulverizes Light, but makes the big mistake of being sportsmanlike and firing a warning shot. He then gets shot in the shoulder, with the same kind of bullet Light used to control Blythe. From there, L has no choice but to do as Light says until Mello becomes an unlikely hero.

When: August 13, after Pirate Week-or-So. Wednesday's child is full of woe...

Warnings: Well... have you ever tried to break up with someone who loves everything about you, who accepts you unconditionally, and who would lay his life down for you at a moment's notice? Now consider that he's excavated the buried horrors of a traumatic past and bared his very soul to you at one point or another. It's kind of like that. If abandoned hearts bleed, there will be blood (gallons of the stuff), and things will never be the same.
Summary: Blythe resolves to end things between herself and L, believing that her attachment to him will ultimately destroy one she cares for. It's tough, especially because they don't quite see eye-to-eye on the issue.

Who: L, Kain, and Alice
Where: Asgard, and then a Saloon in Emptiness.
When: During the Kidnapped!Blythe plot
Rating: PG for now
Warnings: L and Kain fight a lot, for starters...
Summary: L and Alice overtake Kain, because L isn't going to let his rival reach his girlfriend first. Literally sick with worry, L insists that everything be done to ensure Blythe's safe retrieval. However, once they reach the spot the locater chip indicates, they might be in for a frustrating surprise.

Where: A well-furnished, sound-proof room in the lower levels of Asgard (if this doesn't exactly exist, we can always change it, lol)

Summary: L and Blythe meet, and things start to get intense physically, but it's a step the two contact-shy individuals might not be ready to take. They decide to sleep together, and wake up to Memory Theatre, a bonding experience much more intense than they'd bargained for.

What: L, somewhat reassured by the fact that a locater chip is embedded in his arm, agrees to meet Light in Emptiness. Light claims to have gained control of his murderous alter-ego, but L's reason for meeting with him has to do with what is being planned concerning Blythe.

Warnings: Mainly L's enthusiasm in his hope of persuading Morana to see things his way, which can be rather intimidating.
Summary: After questioning the cursed girl about her abilities to kill someone, L asks to meet her to explain what he means by saying she could be very valuable in the current fight between Asgard and Niflheim. Unfortunately, he doesn't quite realize the reaction Morana will have when put under too much emotional strain.

Summary: Blythe accepts Mitch's offer to help her hone and improve her defensive magick spell. After some conversations and advice, Alessa and L request to be in attendance.

WHEN: After L's second night with Blythe.

SUMMARY: Against his will (how many times have we heard THAT?), L meets with Light to prevent "Kira," his newly discovered alter ego, from finding and abducting Blythe.

Once, there might have been a reason to see Light, just for the hell of it. To reminisce, for old times' sake, or sit down and talk, man-to-man, about the world as only a pair of geniuses could relate to it. But now, there was no reason but the fact that L was being blackmailed, and that was a good reason to not be overjoyed at the prospect of seeing him.

It was all for Blythe... L reminded himself of this fact, fingering the gun in his pocket. All for her... Light would pay dearly someday, for manipulating him like this, but for now... all he could do was defend.
