Absolution: OOC

Just to let y'all know that in the midst of all of everything else that is going on, Alex has taken to distributing Vic's underwear around the castle, attaching them to anything remotely like a flagpole and charming some of them to wave as if in a breeze. (He hastens to add that he was not hoarding her underwear for sentimental reasons, she just kept leaving them places like his bag and he never bothered to get rid of them. Alright? Nothing sappy at all.) Of course, Vic's name is inside all of these panties...

Today at breakfast, Alex will receive a howler consisting of a 'recording' of Friday I'm in Love by The Cure, at howler volume.

Lucy is also receiving (gender-swap) chocolate, which she will assume came from Sean, but due to her unwillingness to seek solace in comfort food for fear of getting fat, will not eat it for several days.

Hello, I'm Alison and my characters want to fuck each other up.

Following on from this post - since Max is on a (possibly lengthy) hiatus and the game is ending fairly soon, I guess we'll have to do some of that without her :-( I'm thinking we can cut out Evan finding out Quentin is gay, and hope Max is back in time to fit that in at the end. The rest we should probably go on with, as we know we want to get it done. Does that sound alright, or do you think we should/can hold off on some of it for a bit?

Okay, so... this is what is happening in my head. Let me know what you think. In the absence of any other William, Cat's William is in my head, so he is sort of being NPCed in the privacy of my own brain. It... may be too much NPCing. (Also, um, I may be playing too many characters here.)

Following on from this, Lucy has a little talk with William. Now, Lucy wanted to be friends with William when they 'broke up' and she went out with Jamie, and William has tried, but he's bitter, and it hasn't worked very well, so things are kind of awkward. When Lucy tells William she needs to talk to him about something serious, he gets his hopes all up that she is breaking up with Jamie and/or wanting to snog him again. Obviously, these are dashed.

William goes to talk to Bernice. Now, Bernice has a crush on William and gets her hopes up that when he is trying to warn her off Quentin it is because he is jealous. I mean, Quentin can't actually possibly be gay, right? So Bernice kisses William. William does not reciprocate. Awwwwwkward. He confesses that he is still hung up on someone else, and names Lucy. Bernice is upset, and realises that William was being serious about Quentin being gay. She confronts Quentin, but, feeling even more rejected/desperate than before agrees to keep seeing him/sucking him off anyway. Fuuuuucked up.

Meanwhile, fellow homophobe William just has to tell Evan that Quentin is gay, sparking off that plot.

Also meanwhile, Bernice hates Lucy and tells Jamie about Lucy and William. When Jamie talks to Lucy about it, in a fairly casual way or even just warning her that someone is spreading rumours about her (because really, who would believe Bernice?) Lucy mistakenly thinks he is talking about Sean, and blunders into that plot.

So er... yeah. That's the inside of my head. *carefully puts William back on the shelf*

Just in case you somehow missed it... tomorrow (Sunday 6th) Alex is coming to dinner dressed in this dress - with strategic extending charms. (Patricia, does this break rules? Will he be sent back to change?) The day after (Monday 7th), Demelza will be wearing it.

Apparently, and I totally didn't know this was going to happen until she replied to Leah, but the stress and strain of yesterday has given Romilda a mini relapse in her physio. Her walking, talking, and writing are all worse than they have been recently and the slightest bit of effort is exhausting to her. (Don't worry, she'll be okay in a few days. I think. Given that I didn't see this coming I can't be sure :-S but I think it's just a temporary emotionally tired thing.)

Hi, y'all. It's Alison. Not to be outdone by Max, I went and held and applied a new character. In a day. To be fair, I've played her before. Those of you who were at May02 will recognise Jade. Here she is... *drumroll* Bernice Dunstan! 6th year Ravenclaw, former IS member and not really very repentant. Sort of repentant. Sometimes. But has quite severe cruciatus cravings.

In a nutshell, Bernice (you can call her Bern. Not Bernie - what is she, a bear?) used to be a quiet unassuming girl with a small circle of friends and a good solid academic record. Then last year she joined the IS to protect herself and developed a taste for torture. Now everyone hates her. She longs for last year, especially Alecto Carrow who she had quite a crush on.

Storyline-wise, she needs boys and girls to pine after, people who hate her and used to like her, people who didn't used to know who she was but now hate her, people who don't know her but she just hates them... you get the idea. For more info, her bio lives here.

Apparently Dean thinks he should have been Flynn's godfather, or at least Seamus. I am really struggling to get him to reply to Declan right now. So that's interesting.

These are plots I plan on working through before the game ends, so I had better get started, really. Would any of the other people involved in these plots like to set some rough timescales for them with me?

Alright! Hi guys, me again, pushing the character limit to its, well, limit. I've got me an asshole for your hating pleasure. He's a bad boy. This is Alexander Derrick, Slytherin 7th year, former IS member, and no, he's not sorry. Alex used to be a sensitive but pleasant boy, but puberty turned him into a dick. He's seriously moody, kind of aggressive, and pretty mean. Come be his friend! :-P You can read more about him and see his storylines here.

Hello there! Why yes, tis me, Alison. And this is Dean. Those of you  who played with me at May 02 will already know him, and for the rest of you... Dean's a nice guy, he's pretty laidback, views much of the world through amused eyes, is fairly quiet, is artistic, is good with his hands, and is a good friend. Oh and, you know, brave, Gryffindor, blah blah, loyal to the DA. He is also a gentleman when it comes to ladies. In almost every respect, therefore, he is the opposite of my other boy here, Evan :-)

Dean is officially a muggle-born, although actually his birth father was a pureblood wizard who got killed by Voldemort for refusing to join the DE. Dean does not know that, though, and neither does anyone else, including you. Shhh. Anyway, as per canon, Dean spent last year on the run and is very glad to be back at Hogwarts because, cool as Luna is, she is not his bff Seamus.

Dean wants to be your friend, probably - if he doesn't I doubt you'd be the sort of person who would want to befriend him in the first place. He's not keen on the old IS members for obvious reasons and will give most of them a wide berth, but won't go out of his way to antagonise them because he's just not very aggressive, generally. He's quick to forgive if people are actually sorry, but not about to believe every "reformed" character he meets.

I've only got one storyline open for him (others filled canonically by Seamus, Ginny, and Chase) and that is for someone who wants to try and annoy him, essentially. I am, however, totally up for plot of all kinds! As ever, email/comment is the best way to reach me because I am rarely on aim but get emails and hence also comment notifications on my phone. Lucy wants to know who else is staying at Hogwarts over the holidays.

Today is the day Evan tries to get kissy with Leah on the grounds that there is passion there of a kind, right? And she gives him antlers. So everyone feel free to point and laugh. Evan is going to say it was a stray hex so Leah will have to set people straight on that. Oh and William? Looks like you won the bet. Apparently Leah doesn't fancy him ;-)

Just a side issue, really, because I apparently cannot stop being mean to Evan. At some point I would like it to get out he had sex with his cousin. Any volunteers? I'm assuming Ella blabs to someone - maybe she confides in your character's 5th year sibling, or maybe your character overhears a conversation with one of her friends. Anyway. That is my idea.

Romilda is playing way too healthy. It would be easy to forget there's something wrong with her. So..... this is an open offer for you to npc her klutz. You remember when Ron's wand was fucked and his spells kept going wrong? Well, Romilda's wand is fine, but her articulation of words is sloppy and her wand movements are imprecise, and if you want your character to suffer, then feel free to blame Romilda ;-) She doesn't do Transfiguration, but she does do Charms and DADA, which have potential for this. If you're in these lessons, or share a common room, or even walk past her outside, she could end up growing your nails, turning you blue, or making you tap dance. I'm happy to plot out any of this, or generally if you want to make a journal post but don't have anything to post about, you could just... blame her for something.

Oh, also, I'm thinking of making her forget to do her stupidly regular toilet trip at some point, so she wets herself. Anyone want to play with this? Nothing too mean i.e. no-one who's going to tell the whole school.

Hello there chaps. This is Melody, my new npc and your kids' new Transfiguration professor. They'll probably know her as Professor Pennyfeather, but she pulls a face at that and says you're welcome to just say professor. It's a bit of a mouthful otherwise. She's an outgoing, rather eccentric character who's a fan of plain speaking, and, well, speaking in general. She talks a lot. She sings too, frequently at inopportune moments. So hopefully that will be fun. Check out her bio for more info and I'll introduce her in character soon. Mwah!

Alright, now here's the long one: Romilda!

Those of you who don't know her from Purgatory, she's a total fangirl but a good egg, mostly. She can sometimes be pretty mean but it's mainly because she's bored. She gets bored reeeal easy and needs to entertain herself. She's pretty irritating. She's easy. She clings onto famous people and their relatives/friends to help her feel special. She had a pretty sucky childhood with a neglectful mother but is now adopted by a lovely man who is dating Hugo Beery's uncle (which she is not pleased about because that makes them practically related, ugh!). She was pro-Harry all the way and fought in the Battle of Hogwarts, albeit she didn't stay conscious very long.

Those who *did* know her from Purgatory might want to check out what I've put in her bio (after the history section) about the brain damage she sustained after being whacked on the head by a club-wielding troll. In summary, she will be using the loo a lot, will be irritable and unable to concentrate for very long, her speech will be slurred, and she will have trouble using a quill or (eek!) her wand for any fine movements. She'll be using a dictaquill for now which is likely to make mistakes! Oh, and she can't walk again yet. She'll also be off for physiotherapy every day. And... er... she thinks Harry should come and sweep her off her feet now, please. She deserves it.

Check out her storylines! Basically, I want people to be mean to her, people to be awkward around her, and people who she used to look down on to be extra nice to her. Ex-IS members may find an ally in her, as she thinks people need to get off their high horse and chill out about all that.

Alright! Anyone who does not know me, though I think everyone does, I'm Alison and I am bringing to the pie Lucy Yaxley and Evan Vaisey, both of whom played at Purgatory.

LUCY is my super-sweet, maybe a little manipulative and sneaky but doesn't know it, Hufflepuff 7th year. She was in the IS last year and not really surprisingly considering that her dad (now deceased) was no less than Lawrence Yaxley, DE and Head of the Dept of Law Enforcement. Yes, muggle-borns, people with deceased relatives etc etc. - a lot of your troubles came directly at his order. Yay! As if this wasn't bad enough, Lucy is also related to the Carrows. She was a nice-ish IS person, though, not taking advantage, reluctant to give detentions until the end of the year when she decided she needed to grow a pair, and still maintaining friendships with anti-IS people. She's pure as they come, and her daddy died running away from Aurors like a total non-badass after the battle. She is doing an about-turn this year, dropping IS friends who are not looking apologetic enough, working her ass off in Muggle Studies, donating money to St. Mungos, saying she's sorry a lot and generally trying to do penance. I need storylines filled - see her bio linked above, but I'd especially like to see an ex for her who she can dump because he is not good for her new image (unrepentant IS?). Those of you who were in Purgatory, no, he does not need to be anything like Emrys and neither does their relationship except that it should have been shhhh secret.

EVAN is my super-creepy, no seriously lock up your daughters, Slytherin 6th year, also ex-IS but not as repentant about it. Well, he is sorry, but only because he wishes he did not have the backlash he is getting. He took advantage of all his powers last year and was generally a git. He is also lecherous and will come on to your lady characters in a creepy manner. There is not much else to say about him. He is not very bright. He makes a good sidekick because he likes being told what to do. You should check out his storylines too. He is hiding a lot this year because he is a crap liar.
