Community Rules

This comm is open to anyone to post codes, layouts, resources, tutorials, and requests for help and content. Of course, we do have some rules, so please read through them before jumping in; thank you!

Treat others the way you'd like to be treated. This is not a drama comm, and we expect you guys to be awesome and stay civil. If a situation gets out of hand, please contact a mod, and leave comments intact so we can accurately handle the situation.

Please tag your posts and check out the tagging guide if you have any questions!

■ Very long posts or posts formatted with your own div styling for organization should be behind a cut to save people's f-lists.

Work safe above the cut, please!

■ If posting codes, guides, etc. absolutely do not post content that you did not make. That's stealing, and it's super uncool, bro! If you are posting expanded/edited codes made by yourself using another user's coding as well, please be sure you have their permission (You do not need direct permission if they allow edits to be re-posted in their blanket rules.)
■ Do not post tutorials/links to tutorials that show people how to steal codes from other users. Again: Stealing. Not cool.
When asking for help with something, please check the help tags (help: coding, help: graphics, help: icons, help: layouts, help: other) first to see if your question has already been posted and answered to avoid duplicates.

We do not allow game ads to be posted on this comm since there are so many communities specifically for that already; if you're pimping a game as an addition to a regular post, that's fine. (OK: You post an RP code and mention in the post, oh hey, also I'm running this game! NOT OK: Posts dedicated to game promo.)

We do allow other types of community promos if they are related to RP (icon comms, other types of resource comms, etc.) Just shoot us a comment in our dropbox beforehand and we'll let you know if it's cool to post!

Tagging Guide

Tagging your posts is exactly like setting custom filters, and it's very useful. People searching for specific information rely heavily on them, they make older entries easier to navigate, they help the mods keep track of things, and they're great for making finding what you need go as quickly as possible.

OUR TAGS

All of our current tags are tagged in this entry, but we'll break them up for you so that it's easier to read through, so you'll know which tags to use!

MAKERS:

We won't list these here since they're user-specific and change from time to time, but if you post layouts or codes you will get a maker: username tag added to your post. Why? So that people who like your codes can find them all easily, and so that you can go back and find your code posts without digging should you ever need to edit them or remove them! Once you've posted your first coding/layout entry we will add the tag for you and it will be ready to go the next time you need it.

NEW TAGS, ETC.

In the event that our specific tags don't fit your post's content, each tag has a subject: other tag. Go ahead and use that if we don't have your tag and we'll re-tag it with a brand spankin' new tag for you if it's something we think will wind up showing up more than once on the community. If you have tag suggestions feel free to comment in the thread below!

Also, don't worry if you hit post only to realize you've accidentally misspelled a tag—you didn't accidentally create a new one. IJ will ignore the tag completely; just make sure you go back and add the tag you meant to put in.

UNTAGGED POSTS

Please, guys: Please tag your posts. We'd really love to be able to keep the community as easily searchable as possible, and we can't do that without the help of our awesome members!

Ahaha, no problem! I'll add more of them as needed but, for now, I only added the ones I use since I think I'm the only one posting layouts atm.
