PMs

PM to Pam - 7:42 am
Good Morning!
Have you slept well in the new room?
Seems like the new task for today is the same as yesterday. I guess too few people found something and that messed with Their plans in a way that They just repeat the same task again without adding something new. At least that is what I hope it is, because it admittedly is nice assuming They didn't achieve whatever They wanted to achieve.

Please say Gardenia hello from me :-)

PM to Oliver - 7:51 am
Good Morning.
How is life in the barn?

Lucy<3: 2:23 pm

Soooooo

Now would be a great time to mention I’ve been running a few… experiments right? The first night we were here, I strung up my phone to the broken part of my window and well, when I woke up it was gone. Marco and I went out and it was… it was far enough away from the house that it didn’t just get there by accident. The phone was dead, but when we reviewed the footage… there was nothing.

I thought maybe the phone fell out the window and somehow a single bird or racoon or something managed to get through the gates or whatever when they brought us in and scurried away with it. But I had no proof.

So I set it up again. I cracked the lower part of my window, just enough to prop up my phone and do it all over again. And just like the time before, something took my phone. But this time, it got a little clever … it… the video blurred and then it was shining back on the house before cutting it out.

There… there might be people in the woods?

I’m going to stay up with my phone tonight and see what I can see.

I need help.

I was trying to cross the river and I slipped and I twisted my ankle really bad. Vanessa has been trying to help me, but the terrain is a bit rough and I haven't been making it easy.

I'm freezing and I messed up pretty bad. I don't know what to do.

Oliver - 8:02am

Sound off.

Edit: For anybody crossing the river, make sure you change into something dry as soon as you're on the other side. It's too damn cold to be wandering around in wet clothes.

PM to TPTB

1. My wedding ring (just leave it on my goddamn finger).
2. Bedding.
3. Gym bag set.
4. First Aid Kit.
5. Pot with lid.
6. Cutting board.
7. Frying pan.
8. Wooden spoon.
9. Salt container.
10. Wine bottle.

If contact lenses don’t count as necessity, replace that with wine bottle.
Because I don’t know how you idiots decide which are our personal items, everything listed on this list is located in my room at the time of sending it in.
If you are to provide us with any of the items 5-8, [...] replace that with more wine.

In addition, the group's food list:

1. Eggs.
2. Butter.
3. Powdered milk.
4. Potatoes.
5. Flour.
6. Brown rice.
7. Honey.
8. Dried pinto beans.
9. Canned tomatoes.
10. Fresh spinach.

Jerome - 8:51 pm

Regarding the food items, Jack came up with a list that looks like this:

-eggs
-whole milk
-butter
-potatoes
-flour or oats
-brown rice
-coffee beans
-sugar or honey
-salt
-dried pinto beans

I agree with most of this, however, we did have a dispute over swapping out coffee beans for something else or not. The benefits of coffee are that it may offer something for people they are used to, and are part of their routine, beneficial for holding up wherever we go mentally. It also prevents caffeine withdrawal to anyone this concerns, and could help staying awake.
The disadvantages of coffee are that it takes up a slot for something that could have more nutritional value, especially vitamins, or one more thing that could offer a little bit more variety.

Alternatively the slot could be filled with something else that people could estimate as something that makes them feel good, like chocolate or alcoh, depending on how many people actually drink coffee here, or value coffee higher than other comfort foods/beverages.

It would be great if you can offer your thoughts, so we can come to an agreement. We should roll with whatever most people prefer, there is no right or wrong in this case, but every opinion matters, and should be taken into account.

Jerome - 6:08 pm

I'm relatively new here still, so I actually don't have accumulated many items to take with me. At least not ten. I will have a few spare slots, so if anyone finds themselves with more than ten items to want to transfer, I can add them to my list, and also pick them up from you, as they should be considered 'mine' at the moment of "relocation". I will of course return them ;-)

Lucy<3: 4:23 pm

I'm concerned about all of this-- it sounds incredibly ominous. I hate change so much. I'm currently going through all of my things and trying to inventory them to figure out what I feel like is important. What are we going to get taken away? Like... do our beds need to be one of the items? Our toothbrushes?

also-- food items?! Are they going to take water from us?

Since it said that we are going to need to select ten food items I was thinking---

--- Water
--- Flour
--- Eggs
--- Milk
--- Rice
--- Beans
--- Pasta
--- Potatoes

those are all things that are filling and versatile and like you can use flour to make breads and to thicken things... I don't know.

Okay, two things!

First, has anyone confirmed what this Zippy thing is saying? Edwin, Vanessa, if you guys are reading this, then comment here! Has anyone checked their rooms? I don't know what Zippy is or where it came from so that's kind of weird? I'll help look for people soon, I'm just in the middle of something else right now. Which brings me to thing #2...

WHO GOT ME A BIRD? Oh my gosh, whoever did this, thank you SO MUCH! I've like totally been crying because I'm so touched, and I'm trying to think up a name for it right now. Thank you to whoever did this! <3 <3 <3

[...] Actually there is a third thing and that is that I have just realized that there is a very creepy baby doll in my room. It is staring at me from my closet, and I do not like it. Anyone else?

[Private to Chase - 7:48am]
Hi! No rush on this of course, but would you be interested in maybe helping me make some toys for my new bird? If you don't want to, it's okay! But it seems like something you'd have fun with!

More PMs

PM to Jack - 8:31 pm

Hello. Are you holding up today? It's a fucked up day to be here, and if you want any company for the evening to hate this fucking day together with, let me know.

PM to Pam - 8:46 pm

Hello Pam! I read that we have a new animal in the house :-)

How are you doing today? Having celebrations like these at a place like this surely is weird. I hope you are doing fine!

[info]loathethyself

PM to Oliver - 1:54 pm

[...]
Hey.
I don't think I'm coping exceptionally well with this whole Easter bullshit. I hope you are doing better than me. Lucy [...] persuaded me to search for some eggs with her. I couldn't deny her, she is such a sweetheart, she reminds me at my d but I think I really need a break from the atmosphere of Easter now.
You and Edwin doing alright?

I also meant to tell you that I made donuts yesterday, and that a good third of them have a coffee-based topping, which I thought you may enjoy. Furthermore, Jack approves of eating cake for lunch, and I came to the conclusion that being the presumably oldest people around, it is our utmost responsibility to commit morally questionable deeds like eating cake for lunch once in a while and not tell anyone ;-)

PMs

PM to Pam - 8:16 pm

Hi Pam!
I hope you pulled through today just fine! I'm glad everyone is back safe and sound, this was truly ridiculous. fuck I hope they'll give us a day to breathe already.

I wanted to thank you again for yesterday. I really appreciated your company. [...] It made me feel a lot better. As a thank you, I baked a little present for you. It's a cupcake with a cat pattern, I thought you would enjoy an animal cupcake :-) I used to make these for my daughter.

Have a good night!

PM to Oliver 8:27 pm

Hey.
I hope you're doing alright after today.
I didn't have an opportunity to touch base with you since I ran past you in Cassi's yesterday, for which I want to apologize; this was rude. [...] To stay predictable and true to the stigma, my apology comes with an offer of bakery products ;-)
No, seriously, I wanted to bake a cat cupcake a cupcake today to give it to someone and it somehow ended up being more than just one. I put those away for you and Edwin.

PM to Lucy - 8:40 pm
Hi!
I hope you are doing okay! Glad this day is over, and that everyone is safe.

I baked cat cupcakes this evening, and since they are limited in number, I saved one for you. I thought you may enjoy one of those.

Have a good night!

Oliver - 8:48am

It looks like Marco, Dylan and Vanessa are missing from the house stuck in town. Most of us have down a town sweep before so you know the drill. We need people for the search, particularly considering how cold it is and because we don't know the state any of them are in or if there's any kind of time crunch.

Anyone who is willing to help please meet in the foyer in twenty minutes.

We'll be taking the vehicles, I'll be driving the snowcat but we'll need a driver for each of the snowmobiles. We need to get as many people down there as quickly as possible.

What teams will need

- At least one network accessible phone.

- At least one member who has been in town a while/has participated in a search before.

- Wear warm clothes and sturdy shoes.

- Bring at least one flashlight and phone per group.

- Don't go anywhere without a partner. If you find someone, or get injured, you'll need the backup.

If you have any questions, or if you get turned around in town, comment or call and we'll get you sorted.

Below is a list of all the places that need to get searched. There are houses around a lot of these, but most of them are about ready to fall over. Don't run in trying to be heroes, you pay attention to your surroundings. Please post here to let us know which buildings you're going to be searching so we can avoid overlap. The last thing we want to do right now is waste time.

Some of these buildings are small and clustered together, so one team should try to cover more than one. I'll group those together. For anyone who finishes their search and wants to keep going, let us know when you're done with your last destination and check what's left of this list. Let us know where you're going next so we can knock it off the list. We don't want to leave anybody behind on accident. When we're done with the main buildings we'll begin work on the houses on the outskirts. DO NOT ENTER THESE HOUSES. They are in extremely poor condition and one person has already been injured searching them. If there's someone inside, yell into the front entrance, they'll hear you.

Remember to respond to this post with where you're headed. When you're done searching, post again so we can cross it off.
