Every time I write in this journal, I almost start it with "long time, no update"... clearly, I don't update often. I think my last one is from last year or something like that. Oops!

I'm applying for characters at a dozen different games right now (not really, but it feels like it) in hopes of jumping back into the RP world again. I never realize how much I enjoy RPing until I ignore this journal for a few months. :\ I'm also working on starting up a new Marauder game (!!). I haven't seen a MWPP game around that I've wanted to join since RM and DTW, so I grabbed a pretty layout from Jadis' layout journal and started working on the content! Hopefully I'll have it up in a week (or two, let's be real).

Yeah.

Random post is random. I've had no energy (nor time) to actually write or RP anything lately, but today I was surfing the web and had the random (there's that word again) notion to cast Anne Rice's vampires if I was making a movie today.

This will be ongoing, probably, as I stumble upon faces that I like for the different roles. I may or may not offer more than one face for each role. We'll see. The one restriction I'm setting upon myself is to cast someone who actually looks like the book description of the character!!! What a concept, that.

I will also eventually make it into a pretty table or something. Maybe. LOL. I make no promises, with my time constraints and barely controlled borderline exhaustion.

When is Fast Seven? I need it. I need it now. But no Justin Lin I heard. Woe. Wooooooee.

Yes. Finally saw Fast Six. Still like Fast Five the best, but I started smiling when they did the quick shot of Brian's sneakers, then got this huge grin on my face through the opening credits, and it stayed for the whole movie. It was ridiculous. I loved it.

I mean "still the prettiest blonde". Hey, stupid jokes make me happy.

I'm hitting the hay and I'm sorry shit didn't get done tonight. We were hacked here at la chateau michelle (seriously, jersey, get out of my system) and the scan to hopefully fix it is bogging me way down. Tomorrow shit will get done. DONE SON. YEAH.

Or Taeyang in a Tokio Hotel t-shirt. THIS IS THE FOURTH TIME THAT RANDOM PAIRINGS HAVE WOUND UP BEING LUMPED TOGETHER BY PEOPLE OTHER THAN ME AND MY PARTNER. Like that one time we played Northstar with Colossus and it became canon in Ultimate verse (THEY WENT TO PROM TOGETHER WHAT)

Is is not as bad as it could be, but my phone is broke and causing me stress, it won't stop raining, I bruised my knee, and I just - urgh. Throw my hands up and admit defeat.

I'm going to work on tags and try (try) and haul ass on some OOC plottage I gotta do.

That awkward moment when you're trying to remember where you've seen an actor before and it turns out it was just someone's PB and you've never actually seen them in anything.

I am really fucking depressed about Taeyang's dog dying.

Which is kind of stupid, I guess. Not like I know him or anything.

The New Hogsmeade Village

May 2, 2005. On the seven-year anniversary of the Battle of Hogwarts, Minister Shacklebolt announces the Ministry of Magic’s intention to begin an experimental live/work community in Hogsmeade Village. For the first time since the Second War, halfbloods, Muggleborns, and purebloods are to reside in complete cooperation and harmony.

For halfbloods and Muggleborns, the incentives are many: the opportunity to begin anew, free of the prejudice of the recent past. The opportunity, too, to contribute to the flagging wizarding economy with the Flumes Fund, a Ministry initiative that awards business grants to once-depressed populations. For some purebloods, the advantage is singular-- the opportunity to expunge a violent past of genocide and repression with twelve months of exemplary behavior. Thousands file residence applications. Only a handful receive an official welcome to the village of Hogsmeade.

But will the Hogsmeade Project-- so named by senior Ministry officials-- succeed? Can Minister Shacklebolt broker peace between suspected Death Eaters and war orphans? Or will the new Hogsmeade Village come to represent just another of the wizarding world’s failed attempts to rebuild a once thriving society?
