I have heard that there are those who would call themselves demons living among us.
[Fenris' expression is one of casual disdain. It is clear that he does not think highly of you demon-types.]
Even those whom I once believed to be reasonable. Show yourself, should you have the courage.
[He doesn't have a weapon to beat you all down with, but he'd at least like to know who to keep an eye on. What makes him think people will be honest? Well.
Better to ask, right?]

[After the excitement of the last little while, Anri is grateful for any quiet day granted to them. Her talk with Sasha still weighing on her mind, she takes the time to go to the library, sequestering herself away toward the back where all the law books are – laws, jurisdictions, technicalities, this world or that one. She’s expecting small print and words she’s unfamiliar with and wading through pages upon pages of unhelpful information.
She’s not expecting the way the floor seems to roil underneath her, causing her footing to slip off the lower shelf’s edge – one of the many hazards of being too short to reach anything – and the few books she was holding to come down with her. It’s loud enough to disturb anyone nearby, her hip colliding against the shelving and her unceremonious drop to the floor.
She’s left in an upright heap, hand pressed over her mouth as the memories flood in; several months’ worth.
It’s too hard to make out what’s important what isn’t – the blonde woman coming to her house, or Akabayashi-san and the Awakusa-kai, or – or Ryuugamine-kun and that boy, and the way she can’t stop thinking she smells smoke.
She doesn’t get up right away, unmoving and eyes dull as she thinks – something made so much more difficult by Saika’s renewed demands.
Eventually she stands. Her head is throbbing and her mouth is incredibly dry, each step protested by pins and needles. Anri ignores it, taking one book from the library before she leaves.
She’s in the shelter’s kitchen when she turns the communicator on, a few hours later. Her hair is tucked out of her face and behind her ears for once.]
Would anyone mind tasting some food? I’m not sure if it’s good enough to serve to people.
But her voice bells clear, less uncertainty and tentativeness rather than more.]
((OOC: Anri has been canon updated! From post-anime/volume three to post volume nine. Find her in the library or answer her request for unfortunate test subjects! She wants to feed you, to your incredible misfortune!))

You know...someone should go release all the bunnies from the pet cafe. I think that'd be pretty cool, especially if our next holiday might be Easter or something.
[voice || private to Wolfram]
[His voice lowers a bit, less amused, but more serious. He's at the apartment right now, seated on top of his bed and hugging a pillow close. He's kind of been stuck at home for the past couple of days along with his roomie...and he's been thinking about some things.]
Hey, Wolfie, how you feelin'?

[Nasuti makes her way to the library to return a few books and pick up a few more. It's still a few good hours before dark, so she settles into a dark corner of the library and turns on her feed, a stack of books towering on each side of her, framing the desk.]
I figured I've waited long enough to get this started, especially with all the changes that've been going on.
I'm going to start up a book club for any of you bibliophiles out there. I think it's a great opportunity for a bit of escapism, intellectual stimulation, and getting to know more about each other!
Consider this the sign-up! As soon as I get enough people (at least six?) and their availability, we'll get started!
[ooc: For ease, feel free to use this form as a guide for what information Nasuti would want in order to organize a book club. It's ooc for organizational purposes, to avoid any confusion.]

[ He'd come to the library on a whim thanks to a conversation he'd had earlier. It reminded him of something, something he'd been considering ever since he landed in this place. Now the urge to read the entire selection itself was far too tempting. So there he was, volume in hand as he thumbed through the pages in search for that one passage.
You're in for a little poetry today, it seems, inmates. ]
The mind is in its own place, and in itself
Can make a Heaven of Hell, a Hell of Heaven.
What matter where, if I be still the same
And what I should be, all but less than he
Whom thunder hath made greater? Here at least
We shall be free: the Almighty hath not built
Here for his envy, will not drive us hence:
Here we may reign secure and in my choice
To reign is worth ambition, though in Hell:
Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven.
[ And the volume is closed with a decisive thud. He takes a moment to set it down before taking his glasses off and wiping them with a handkerchief. ]
I can't help but wonder if any of you have considered that little passage in reference to our plight. It came to mind, earlier. Should we accept our fate as it is and make the most of the situation or should we fight to regain our freedom? It is after all, what we make of this place.
[ And the smallest smile. ]
Call me a curious man.

Hi, everyone! I hope it's not too early, but I did kind of forget to make an announcement yesterday... [ And she needed to get her uniform cleaned, to make the best first impression in her blue-and-silver suit! ]
For those of you who won't know me, my name is Subaru Nakajima. I'm part of the Defense Force here in Marina, and I'll be starting a new class today. It is called "Emergency Training" because I really can't think of a better title for it, eheh!
[ Deep breath. ] The purpose of the class is to run everyone through procedures that will benefit them in case of an emergency. How to use a fire extinguisher, navigate to proper exits in case of an accident, administer basic first aid, perform CPR... lots of little pieces of knowledge that'll help both you and others stay safer and healthier in case of an emergency!
I may not be an instructor, but I think I have appropriate qualifications. I'll also have volunteers cycling in to give their own unique perspectives, and to help me fill in gaps in what I've put together.
I believe it'll be for the benefit of everyone if you attended, even just once. The first class will be today at 11 AM in the Education Center.
I hope to see lots of you there! [ Subaru waves to the camera before ending the transmission. ]
((OOC: You're free to hand-wave attendance of this class, too! First "lesson" is going over fire drills, how to navigate to exits while avoiding fire and smoke, and operating fire extinguishers.))

[Naoto is familiarizing herself with the headquarter's coffee maker. It's her first day of patrol so she might as well get used to the place. She pours herself a cup, holding the mug as she looks over the watch list once more. She still can't believe that half the things on this list are actually real, like vampires really? And cursed to hurt Japanese? She takes a sip. Man, this place is weird!!]
[walking around sector one with her sheathed sword visible in her hand. as the black processing plant comes to view Naoto slows down, one hand tightening imperceptibly on the hilt, and eventually comes to a stop right in front of the building. Somewhere inside is Badou and the twins... If suspicious staring could open up magic doors, then Naoto would definitely have found an entrance by now.]
[Video | Action; Open] Late afternoon into evening

[The feed opens up and you can hear piano music, seems it's on voice for now but whoever is holding the device discreetly switches it to video. What you see before you, Marina, is a very familiar blue-skinned teen... playing the piano with some skill for a guy who's only been practicing for a few days. Heck, some of you from earth (or a version of) might recognize the song.
If you don't, then you might as he starts to sing.
((ooc: You most likely will get a response from both the boys if you post to the video, but feel free to address either! Otherwise you can tag in with Action and find the two milling about on their "date" out and about just about anywhere. You may even catch them being adorable and affectionate~ They will be visiting the Ramen Shop for a late lunch then the Education Center(obviously), the Movie Theater and the Club!))
Music: "Stand By Me" by Ben E. King
