[It made sense for him and Jack to split up in their explorations this morning. They can't risk bumping into each other in a dangerous situation and activating the force field by mistake. Still, the more Ianto wanders around the dome the more he regrets being on his own. He's managed to avoid raptors and wasps so far but he still feels this growing sense of dread, like it's only a matter of time before he runs into trouble. He's done this sort of thing enough times with Torchwood to know there's always something worse out there in the dark.]

[He stops short, frozen, torch slipping free of his suddenly numb fingers to clatter on the ground, scattering shadows everywhere and making the face he can't take his eyes off of even more terrifying. He couldn't say anything even if he could think of what he would. His mouth is too dry, throat closed up in panic. He feels like an animal caught in the headlights, unable to move even though all he wants is to run away, to get as much distance between himself and that figure as he possibly can.]

	[It doesn't matter if the voice is wrong. His brain corrects it, makes it right, turns this into reality. He's too afraid to notice anything wrong.
