There was once a poem written about how the world would come to see its end. The last bit of it said; "This is the way the world ends. Not with a bang but with a whimper." Such was not the fate for Mandalus. There was most certainly a bang, then the retaliation of the god. The mulitverse ended, the World Tree dead. It took ten years and the guidance of the once protector of the Tree, Kreyus, but those few who managed to survive the end of it all found a way to change the world.
They entered the same Rift that once brought them to Mandalus. It was said to be a tear in the physical World Tree itself and had been there for a very long time. The device that the System said they had created was no where in sight, most likely destroyed by the impact of the Serpent God Mes'Klou against the tree. Either way, they all fell through the Rift. Down and down through time till they arrived in their desired point.
Which was much of a surprise to the few C'Meni priests that had been assigned to help any others that fell through the Rift.
The Rift had been quiet. There had been no new Honored Guests falling through the Rift. Yet, now, six Guests had come through at once. Except they were already in Mandalus. These ones were simply older. Perhaps not wiser, but definitely determined.
