STEP INTO THE TELEPHONE BOX, DIAL "6-4-2-2-4..."

It takes more than winning a war to get to, "All was well." In 2005, the Wizarding World is facing challenges it never expected. Recent advances in muggle technology threaten to put an end to the Statute of Secrecy and the fragile peace magical society has finally achieved.

One mysterious new group aims to put an end to the Statute by any means necessary. They've drawn up a list of enemies, posted it for all to see and, one by one, terrible things are happening to the people whose names appeared on it.

...AND YOU'RE ON YOUR WAY TO THE 8TH FLOOR.

The Game
It's been a year and a half since the fall of Voldemort and the Wizarding World is still rebuilding. The Death Eaters have been tried, Hogwarts has been rebuilt, and everyone is attempting to move on with their lives. However, most of them have forgotten the biggest thing they should have learned during the war; the importance of love. It was, after all, Dumbledore's message that there could always be move love in this world.

While working on an experiment to alter the properties of the popular love potion, Amortentia, Unspeakable Hermione Granger makes a mistake that leaves everyone within the Ministry, Diagon Alley, and Hogsmeade on that day fall in love with the person whom they're nearest to. While everyone is stuck with the wrong person, or in some cases, the right ones, The Ministry frantically tries to correct their mistake, but their attempt to bring everyone out of their love-drunk stupor only leads to everyone magically finding their soulmate. Not everyone will be happy about who they're fated to be with, but some of them may just find what they've been looking for.

Amortentia is set in the year 2000, when the Wizarding World is still recovering from the events of the war. We're focused on the characters exploring all kinds of relationships: romantic, family, friendship, etc. and character development. Every two to three weeks, the mods will introduce a new plot point for the game, which will keep things in motion for the first few months, with the plan being to let everyone keep things going with character interactions afterwards.
Current Events
The game will start out with characters being placed under a love potion and being stuck with random characters to be in love with. The plot will then shift to people discovering who their soulmates are when the Ministry botches their attempt to fix their mistake. After those plots are settled, we have a few game-wide plots planned with magical creatures, magical catastrophes, etc.
The Players
Amortentia is currently seeking dedicated writers who are interested in character development, participating in game-wide plots, and moving the plot forward with character interactions.
Coming Soon
Since we have yet to open, we're looking for as many characters as possible to get us rolling with the plot and we will make adjustments as we go. Some of our most wanted characters at the moment are: Ron Weasley, Neville Longbottom, Harry Potter, and many others.

Vigilantes!
"what are you fighting for?"

1977 marked a year of many events. Many of them were unspoken of, clouded by the significant tension of the First Wizarding War. Mysterious pureblood abductions and muggle-related deaths rose in numbers, but no one dared answer to it. Not many even wanted to accept that halfblood Minister of Magic Nobby Leach had gone missing as well, causing Senior Undersecretary Aldric Ruddock to take control.

It was called the Vigilante Regime.

The new Minister of Magic Ruddock had enough with the perplexing actions of unknown forces that seemed to have come together to cause destruction to the wizarding world. And so in effort to control these groups, he banned all vigilante action. Anyone caught doing suspicious actions beyond ministry approval was subject for questioning and punishment. Any suspicious behavior within Hogwarts' walls were handled by the Ministry, and more importantly, Dumbledore had no control in the matter: the protection of his students laid in their own hands, and their decisions in interacting with the outside world. Every month, Ministry officials were brought to the castle to question all students of age and suspicion, terrified that they were becoming inside sources for such dangerous citizens.

With the Ministry becoming more strict with Hogwarts' policies, and the laws governing the Wizarding World, Hogwarts' latest seventh years are getting what they least expected: a choice. Pretend their world isn't crumbling around them, or prepare themselves to fight once they're thrown out into the real world.

Vigilantes is a canon-compliant game set in 1977, concentrating on the Marauders last year at Hogwarts, and the choices they must make to prepare themselves against the oncoming darkness. As the Ministry, and the rest of the Wizarding World starts to crumble around Hogwarts, the students families, friends and relationships reaches new heights. With an interfering Minister, the students' ideas of a perfect year have been ripped to pieces.

Werewolves. Quidditch players. Ministry laws. Impetuous RPG is a multi-faceted game. With a strong social aspect laced with dark undertones, Impetuous is a plot-progressing game where new laws are being enacted by the Ministry of Magic. Purebloods reigned for years, but now a group of muggleborns and half-bloods, scared of a potential pureblood rising, are pushing for new laws that limit the rights of the wizarding population.

The year is 2002. The fourth anniversary of the Second Wizarding War has come and gone. The past three years have been filled with rebuilding and recovering from both the emotional and physical damage wrought by the war. The acting Minister, Kingsley Shacklebolt, has just resigned from office in the wake of mutiny from within the Ministry.

The public is demanding that something be done to prevent events like the rise of Voldemort and the Second Wizarding War from ever happening again. Acting impetuously, the interim Minister of Magic proposes new laws against Werewolves and pureblood marriages. A seemingly innocent blood census is just the first step in an increasingly oppressive campaign against purebloods, while new factions of the public are calling for an end of blood purity altogether...

The murder of Narcissa Malfoy, and attacks on pureblooded witches by a new terrorist group called the Wizards Against Purity, might just pit purebloods and muggleborns against each other once again.

❦ Wanted: Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Luna Lovegood, Lee Jordan, George Weasley, Draco Malfoy, Parvati Patil, Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws, Ministry workers, Aurors, and more...
