Summary: Misa is an incompetent hacker. L feels backed against the wall. Neither of them trust each other, or are trusted by others. It just figures that something like this would happen.

Summary: Even though L sounded like he was being sarcastic when he said he was eating chocolates and watching reruns of soap operas, he's totally being emo and doing just that. Lina basically hit the nail on the head, publicly over the journals. L dares her to say what she said to his face, and she goes to his room to actually do that! *cue rushing to hide the chocolates and Days of Our Lives seasons.

Summary: Now's a pretty good time to tempt L towards the dark side. Someone clever enough to exploit L's growing doubt in whether or not it's worth it to be one of the "good guys" could either gain a huge advantage for Niflheim... or be caught off-guard by some impressive resolution on L's part.

Summary: Those in Asgard who are interested join in the masquerade Henry, Dorian and Metatron worked to plan out and create. Notably, Lina is absent - she stands at Asgard's door, pointedly awaiting any "idiot" who wants to trash the celebration.

Summary: L and Blythe meet, for what L thinks may be the last time. There is a whole lot he wants to say... and a whole lot he feels he's unable to. Blythe has been worried and confused, and needs to get some sort of sense that things are going to be OK.

Summary: L agrees to meet B in Emptiness when his worshiper/stalker/fanboy/former successor/prime suspect for a crime committed just to trip him up. Beyond is worried about L, and L is worried about L, not knowing quite what the obsessive Beyond might try.

Summary: Fresh from weathering a new set of mind games he's not allowed to fight against, L is riddled with doubt, guilt, and uncertainty, along with the knowledge that surviving the next week will be difficult even by CU standards. Wishing for some peace of mind and desperate for some form of non-antagonistic human contact, he goes to visit the two sleeping women and encounters Metatron, who might be able to help him soothe the storm in his soul.

Warnings: Tension and Machiavellian angst. It is the facade of the century, and L will say things he doesn't mean in frighteningly convincing ways that may cause you to never believe a word he says ever again.
Summary: L, after contacting Light and claiming that he's realized the other man has been right all along, agrees to go to Niflheim to try and convince Light in person. Light, naturally, is skeptical of the sudden change of heart, and has a "test" of some sort planned to gauge L's loyalty. This is all part of L's master plan to kill Light (which is getting to the wire, now, and will happen after the new characters are introduced), so please remember what L is trying to. ENDS. JUSTIFY. MEANS.

Summary: Kain and L, totally fed up with each other, finally meet up for the fight they should have had long ago. In horrible, horrible outfits.

Summary: "The Rest of the Story" could have been a second title for this thread. It's finished before it's even begun, considering that the only characters involved both belong to this player. I felt that it was somewhat important to thread, though, in order to avoid future confusion. The following is what happened with Mello and L after Mello stumbled upon the scene in the L/Light thread. Mello tells a story to the highly suggestible L, revising his reality to prevent him from doing anything rash after he realizes what actually almost happened with Light. He also gets some useful information about L's cameras, which he'll later share with Kain.

Who: Sphinx and the trial representatives
Where: The place beyond the door of the Room of Ceremonies.
When: The starting day of the trial.
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: Don't know.
Summary: After the first part of the first trial begins, and everyone is brought to the ceremony, each character is led individually into the place beyond the door to meet Sphinx, who will give them their trials.

[ooc: As helpful instructions, the order (though it doesn't have to be done in order OOCly, ICly, story-wise, it will) of people will be Mitch, Light, Mello, Blythe, Flauros, L, Jazz, Frank, Wesker and Maria. This is the order that the characters will be called in and given their riddle by Sphinx.

Every character is expected to post to THIS, not to other comments in this page, to start interaction with Sphinx, so that every character has a 'thread' with Sphinx within this page. This is to speed things along so that everyone gets their riddle in a somewhat vaguely timely manner, even if other people's schedules make them faster or slower to respond.

Characters will not be able to interact with anyone other than Sphinx in this thread, as Sphinx will be the only one present aside from the character entering the room, always.
