Ratings: PG?
Warnings: Some spoilers for the series? Other than that, nothing I can think of.
Summary: Having just arrived and not having any memory of Asgard, he busies himself by exploring the mansion and taking in whatever information he can about his surroundings.
L had made himself scarce for most of the first day he was in Asgard. He took a moment to test out the communication system, then for the first time in years he took some personal time for himself.
He needed to mourn. Having no memory of the time he had spent here before, his freshest memories consisted of the deaths of himself and Watari. Clearly L was alive again through some strange divine request, however the man who was the closest thing he had to a family was not. Luckily, with the current celebrations going on, he remained undisturbed in the room Metatron had assigned him.
It was early in the morning when L slipped out to explore the mansion. Most of the building’s occupants would be asleep at this time meaning no one was likely to bother him while he went about his business. Still, the young man moved quietly as he could through the halls so not to disturb anyone who might be a light sleeper.
With his flashlight on, L went from room to room studying everything he could about the place and making mental notes. The mansion was clean, spacious, and comfortably furnished in addition to having a number of luxuries such as a ballroom and pool.
What caught his interest the most though was how clean it was. Try as hard as he could, L couldn’t turn up a single speck of dust in any of the rooms. This was highly unusual as there should have been something either tracked in by the mansion’s occupants or gathered in the nooks and crannies of the furniture.
L soon found himself squatting in the kitchen investigating for dirt, grime, or any signs of usage of the stove. As far as he could tell, everything here was brand new.
