Belle tapped her nails on the bar as she waited for her companion. It had been a long day, and she was eager to work off some frustration. She'd been given the name of a good jazz club, and discovered the keys to a Saturn in her purse. It wasn't flashy, but that suited her best, in a way. She enjoyed flashy cars, but they were too conspicuous for her tastes.

She drank another whiskey, and contemplated the idea of going outside to smoke. It was ridiculous, but no sense getting in trouble over a stupid law like that.

This wasn't working.

Meredith's instruction had helped, sure, but Jude still wasn't sure he was cut out for this. While the control part was getting better, sure, it was more than a little off-kilter. He could make the flames go away, but he couldn't seem to control when they made their appearances. It just happened, randomly, and he was having trouble dealing with it all. Already he'd scorched the curtains of his makeshift home, and he'd lost at least two of his stash of blankets. He'd just finished spreading a fresh one on the bare floorboards, brushing his hair out of his eyes. Des had gone off on a trip, though where, Jude couldn't even remember right then. All that mattered was that he would be home in a few days, and then he'd figure out how to stop the fire.

There had to be a way.

What she was about to do was stupid, and deep down Veronica knew that, but that wasn't going to stop her. She needed this right now. Duncan and Meg? Oh god. She just had to not think about that right now. She really was happy for Tess and Logan, and thrilled that they wanted her to be a part of the wedding and all, but Duncan and Meg had been the icing on the cake. She really did feel like Dane Cook in Good Luck Chuck, date her...and you'd probably find your soulmate.

She wasn't going to make either of the super couples feel bad, but she...just needed to feel something. She'd Godboxed over to Sylar, not fully aware of what she was getting herself into.
