I apologize in advance for the length of this prompt and do NOT expect replies to match this, there's just a lot of stuff to get us all to an even point.
Tesla had seen pictures before, but she hadn't known how beautiful the beaches in Greece were before she was standing on one. An hour or so before, when she and the girls had arrived she'd stood for a moment to stare out into the water, taken in the smell it oozed into the air. Far more intoxicating to her than any drug. There were two tents set up so the separate parties could get ready. So much for just a best man and maid of honor, something Tess probably wouldn't have ever planned, but definitely not anything she had to complain about. She was glad to have so many people around. Her sickness had been minimal and she'd been able to get control of it, but her stomach was twisted into all kinds of nervous knots as they all buzzed over one another's hair, dresses, makeup.
Then they just had to wait. Tess had tried twice to sneak a peak out to see if Logan was there and ready, and out of his tent but the girls had kept her in. Ah those stupid superstitions that she actually had bothered following the night before. She'd smiled at herself as she looked at herself in the mirror provided, wearing a white spaghetti strap dress that's back hem fell to about her ankles, but the front just below her knees. It was otherwise very plain, and would be easier to keep clean in the sand and such. She'd fussed over her hair the longest and decided to leave it down. Madeline had helped put in extensions the night before, so it fell past her shoulders in long red curls, the way it had been, in fact, when Logan had come by that first time for Tequila and making out. She'd figured a veil was better suited for a purer bride, settled for some local white flowers to braid into her hair. Lastly, she'd put on the amethyst pendant Logan had said he'd found in a bottle on the beach (she knew better but the story still made her smile) and her charm bracelet. She wanted all of that there but then remembered Joker's gift, settled the earrings in, despite their size.
She knew it was time when Shawn had awkwardly joined them in the tent, needed to take a deep breath and pace until the other girls went out, leading little Elle as she started chucking the petals from her basket. Traditional orchestral music as they went, managed a nervous smile to Shawn, adjusted his polo before taking his arm and the bouquet of pink roses. She knew it was time when the small group of musicians started to play The Cranberries, Linger. She knew most people probably wouldn't recognize it without any words, but Shawn of anyone would, and the words were pouring through her head as they walked. She was almost surprised to see so many people despite her and Logan having invited so many people. She didn't think, before that moment she'd blush so much, or her face would already hurt from smiling, but it did. Looking at Logan she'd almost forgotten to breathe. When they reached the front, and Shawn was asked who gave her away in marriage, the tears came, and they didn't shut off completely for a while. She'd hugged and kissed him before he sat, moved to take Logan's hands. Her heart going a mile a minute. It was almost hard to hold his gaze and hard, at the same time, to break it. She felt shy but exhilarated, nervous, but thrilled.
Father Parish spoke for a while, the general marriage stuff that priests said, and Tess barely caught two words. Things were quiet then, and she thought at first, she had droned him out again but Logan giving her a playful nudge made her look at him, and he repeated that it was time for the vows. She blushed deeply and laughed at herself. "Oh, those," She heard a few people laugh at her and shot a playful look over at the chairs before digging the paper out of her bouquet to unfold. She didn't have the entire little piece written, more bullet point so she didn't forget anything. Wet her lips as she scanned it before looking up at him to recite it in a warm, loving voice, loud enough for everyone to hear, but quiet enough so it was their moment, her and him, Tesla and Logan.
"Every endless night has a dawning day. You're always the dawn that comes after the night for me. You're there when it's dark, and I'm afraid. You're there when it's cold and I need to feel warmth. You're there when I'm alone, so I'm no longer lonely. You came to me at a point in my life where I thought the sun was going to stop shining. You are my sunshine, the light of my life, the silver lining of my cloud. You're a part of everything I have to look forward to in my life, and I love you. Every day when I wake up next to you I have to smile, because every morning I wake up next to the greatest blessing I've ever been given. As our lives grow closer together and our blessings start to outweigh the bad in our lives, I grow to love you more and more every day, and I want to spend every one of my days by your side. As your wife. I promise to be faithful to you and always true to my word no matter what becomes of us I promise to love you completely for all my days no matter how much money we have I promise to always be honest with you no matter what may come of my honesty I promise to treat every day together like it's the very last one we'll have I, Tesla Rose Spencer, take you, Logan William Echolls, to be my husband My best friend, my children's father, my sunshine. I vow to encourage your success and support you through your failure To care for you in sickness and also in good health Out of everything that I tell you today I want you to know that your presence in my life Has made me the woman that I always hoped I would become. I'm happy, healthy, and I have everything that I could ever have dreamed to want Your place in my life has always been there, unoccupied until now, but your presence taking that space is a new, Wonderful adventure that I cannot wait to experience with you more fully. Take me, Logan, as your wife, and give me all of your heart I'll hold you forever and love you always, 'til death do us part."
Her voice trembled a little by the end, and her eyes were full of tears again, joyful, warm blessings in her eyes as she smiled at him, her hands moving to squeeze his as she breathed, calming herself a bit from the giddy urge to stand on tiptoe and kiss him. Had to wait, and it wasn't going to be long. Her nerves were all over the place, because now it was Logan's turn, and she was both nervous, and excited about what he might have had to say. Waited the few brief seconds for him to begin, watching him intently with a smile as he did.
