Hallo all! I haven't been about much, it took me about a week persuade Bernard to take his blasted mongoose back and the dratted thing kept trying to escape. I'm not sure why he gave him to me in the first place. He just said "Here, hold this," and I, being an unsuspecting chap, held my hand out, only to find it immediately filled with a very bitey rodent, or whatever a mongoose is.

I've now dispatched the furred menace to its furred menace of an owner (and yes, Bernard, I mean that to sting,) and, well, I suppose it's time I attempted to do what legions of aunts have been attempting to make me do since I left the nursery, and do something useful with myself.

I've never worked, unless you count writing What the Well-Dressed Man is Wearing for my Aunt Dahlia's magazine. And I wouldn't really say I have any useful skills, other than playing the piano. Does anybody know of any jobs a chap with no discernable use in the world might be able to do? I don't suppose being Drones Club darts champion will make any difference, will it?
