Batman: Rogues' Gallery is a Nolan-verse RPG centered around the origins of Batman's greatest nemeses and focusing on Gotham's descent into crime, anarchy and madness. The story begins with the Joker's incarceration at Arkham Asylum following an elaborate plot against Gotham City. While inspired by Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, the plot of this game deviates from the movie on a few key points (please see the premise and character list for more details). |

Family. Everyone wants one, but not everyone wants the one they have. Some are born alone in the world, some loose what semblance of a family they have through divorce, death, or distance. But not all families are blood relatives. The most curious types of families that come together because of a common attitude, interest, or goals. They find each other because they need the comforts of family and an ideal that will stick them together when other families would crumble apart. The loyalty and devotion to this new family entity becomes so strong in these cases that outsiders don’t quite understand what’s really going on.
After seeing the world around him reject him for what he was, Samuel looked for others like him, others who knew what it was like to be an outcast but no longer wanted that lifestyle for themselves. The family came first, and then the carnival was created so they could live, work, and thrive together. The carnival gave them a way to show off what others found horrifying – their abilities. It isn’t all fun and games though at the carnival – there is hard work and everyone has to do their part, but when you’re family, you do things for others that you might not do on your own.
A commitment to this carnival is a commitment to being in the family. It isn’t always easy to join the family, but it’s even harder to leave. Most never want to though, who would give up the chance of a lifetime – to be wanted, needed even, and be able to truly be themselves?

After the Second Wizarding War there was a moment of calm, of peace and serenity. It was soon interrupted as people began to worry about what would happen next. No one wanted to risk the a slide back to what had happened during the war, but with public opinion split on the direction of wizarding society, there only seemed to be one solution - elect a new Minister of Magic. It was all very clean cut, very democratic. There were speeches and town hall meetings. The people came out and spoke their mind and in the end they picked the side that was safer – the older side of the coin. The party made up of mainly Pure Bloods – Puritas – was elected into the Ministry of Magic over the more progressive Allied Party. However, it wasn’t one of the old hats, nor was it someone that people would always look at and see the Dark Mark. They had been smarter than that. Chance Warrington, now the newly elected Minister of Magic, was left to set up his cabinet, name his advisers and his ministers. Since he was elected to the position by the majority of the magical society in England, there is no reason to think that they would object to him, his choices, his policies or his staff….right? The press, the pundits, have openly criticized everything from policy to the color of his tie at brunch. With the fate of society resting in his hands, which way will it go? The Ministry is a post DH, non epilogue compliant game set in 2006 that centers around the Ministry of Magic and the political struggles of the wizarding world. There's a new game starting, and though I'm not a mod, I do want to see it take off. So if you're interested in post-apocalyptic games, unique and real characters and a close knit community of RPers where storylines are developed (not abandoned), check out The Colony.
