Now that the weather is cooperating, El Torro is open once again!

Due to the power outage, all our meals are deeply deeply discounted.* We know the streets are closed, but if anyone is within walking distance, come on in. Either we feed you or we throw it away. Up to you.

So come on in and get some seriously cheap food. Just remember to tip your server normally! Don't punish these hard working people after they already lost a couple day's wages.

As the snow seems to be relentless tonight, I feel safe in saying that El Torro will not be open for business tomorrow. I don't want anyone risking their health and safety just to get to our delicious food and tequila, nor will I risk the safety of my employees to serve those items.

I apologize if this puts a kink in anyone's plans, but if it does, then you might want to have your heads examined. Stay inside, people! That's what the Weather Channel has already advised for us tomorrow.

We will, of course, reopen as soon as the weather permits.

* Apprentice Baker: Study under Head Baker in pastry making and the preparation of Candi's specialties.

* Cashier: Man the counter and ring up costumers. Must have basic knowledge of what is sold and people skills.

* Prep Worker: Chop, sort, and purchase ingredients. Roll fondant, frost cakes, keep appliances in order, and be prepared to run errands.

Hours of Operation: Open Monday through Saturday, 7 am to 7 pm. Extra hours during holiday seasons and special occasions.
