About:

Somewhere between now and yesterday, heaven and hell, and reality and dreams lies a land that time has forgotten. The ancient Kingdom of Caligland was created by the Fates as a home for the non-human species of earth – fairy, vampire, shifter, lycan and witches, those with magical powers that threatened to overthrow the delicate balance and safety of the humans who were, for the most part, oblivious to the wars between the factions surrounding them.

For as long as the land has existed, the various groups have warred against each other. The lycans and the vampires, due to their size, controlled the most land and resources, and since both were cursed with immortality, the battles between them never seemed to cease. Daily life for everyone in Caligland became nothing more than survival, and the land fell into a dark age, where art, technology and all but the struggle for power was forgotten.

However, five years ago, in an effort to end some of the bloodshed, Cain, the King of the Vampires made a treaty with the largest pack leader, Lunos. As a sign of his fidelity to the treaty, Cain pledged his beloved childe, Princess Anne into a betrothal with Lunos's second, Richard Zeeman. The court was open to those who would pledge their troth to either Lunos or Cain, and an era of peace was promised to all.

Not everyone, however, has been pleased with the peace, or the power that has been shifted to the elite in the court. Only those who have the favor of the the king, or his daughter, hold seats on the Council of Blood and Bone, who run the kingdom under the advice of Cain. Pockets of rebellion have begun to spring up all over the kingdom, including in the royal castle.

The fates have begun pulling those with special gifts at a more rapid rate at an attempt to balance the power, but will it be enough, or will full scale war break out?
