Hello humans and non-humans.

I am Murderbot. I am a security unit, but I don’t know if that means anything to any of you, so: I kill threats. I don’t understand why I’m here and I don’t remember the ship entering a wormhole but as that is the only explanation that makes any amount of sense other than the obvious, let’s go with that. As for the obvious, I am told that I was not kidnapped. Which is good, because if you try to blackmail my humans into returning me to Preservation I will crack your ribs and pull them out of your nostrils, one by one, despite the mess it would make and the inherent disgustingness of the act. I do not like unknowns. So - sure. We’ll go with the fucking wormhole and memory gap explanation.

Is this an independent colony? The terraforming is excellent.

He was a character on a piece of media I recently watched, but no, he didn't appear to "mix it up". He was very straightforward in his appreciation for a certain weapon, which lacked imagination, but he was competent with using it.

Got it. Too bad though. The element of surprise really does help keep others on their toes. But when you're accurate you don't need to worry too much about that.

You are fond of the element of surprise.

I don't disagree. I'm not great at stealth, but hacking bots and cameras creates the same benefits. Why do you utilize it? Pretend that I have not read your publicly-available data already.

Pretty much why everyone does. Survival.

That is a deflection. But as long as you don't kill people, I don't care.

There isn't a reason to do that around here.

I have read that there have been several instances of violence in the last month alone.

Do the woods follow different laws?

I'm not sure it has laws.

Unlikely, but not impossible. I'll investigate.
