You know, one of the great things about being married is learning new things about your partner, even after we've been together for years.

Like today I found out that Teddy uses a giant magical sword (a sword that that a prophecy proclaimed that whoever could pull this sword from a stone [I know, I know] would become the ruler of space) as a table that he puts his cereal bowl on.

It's things like this that keep the spark alive.

We have a table. An actual bloody table.

Which is not nearly as cool.

How is this practical? How does this work? What would the ends of a sword be on?

That's easy, the table of course.

How is it any different from a plate?

[...] Are we shopping for a new blade? Let me know now so I may mentally prepare myself.

You have the rare opportunity to where I am complicit with your insanity, and you won't take advantage of it?

You were literally just calling me a dumbass for even considering this and now you're "complicit?"

Not once have I called you a dumbass in written form or verbally. I think this idea is ridiculous. But if it would bring you joy because of how ridiculous it is, then I support it.

Potato, potato. Now we're going sword shopping.

Oh, I can answer this. Teddy puts it on his lap, so the hilt of the sword rests on the arm of our couch, and then he balances the blade on his lap.

I need to reiterate, this is a wide sword.

But why?

Well, if I were to utilize my extensive amount of therapy, I'd guess either it's because Teddy's so comfortable with it that he doesn't really think about it like a weapon or because he has disregard for the symbolism because he doesn't like the title.

But in reality, because I know him, it's because he thinks it's hilarious.

Hilarity is also Gideon's motivation, as you can see.

Very well. I'm preparing myself to witness her use a sword as a table.

It has to be long and wide, just be aware.
