Well, that was the second worst ten-day span of my life, thank you very much. The cats were certainly happy to see me again, so at least there's that (my thanks to to those who were able to care for them in my absence).

This whole experience has done nothing do much as make me even more curious of the magic in this place. I'd like to conduct interviews with anyone willing to discuss their magic with me; I've the most interest in magic regarding leylines or foresight, though I'm happy enough to talk any other sorts as well.

Well, a little. But yes, she did. I think I was a bit ahead, but I had less to remember. She's much older than I am.

Of course, in this life I was nearly old enough to be her mother. Funny how that works out.

And if you're wondering if I minded that she'd changed, I didn't. It's never mattered what face he's wearing. He's had several. He's still my husband. Or wife, I suppose. And as it happens, I rather fancied her before I knew who we'd been.

Is it some sort of reincarnation that you remember your previous lives from?

I suppose love is love no matter the face. I'm glad you two were able to find one another in this life, even with the differences.

You tell me, sweetie. I realise I'm an archaeologist, but I don't actually believe in that. But I know I was her. Or I will be. I know I lived that life just as I've lived this one.

I'd like to think we'll always find one another.

I'm sure you're better equipped to answer that than I am. It all sounds very interesting though.

You're very optimistic, though I suppose you'd have to be. I hope she, or he, shows up here as well.

Am I? I'm just an archaeologist. With memories I shouldn't have.

With a life like ours? Always. But thank you.

Still, you have direct experience with the thing, which I'm sorely lacking.

Not by choice, dear. I was caught up by something. So many of us were.
