Alright, so I was just looking some stuff up for my next book, and I found out that one of the first two? Maybe number three, I don't even remember, but Marina, the heroine (of sorts) kills a guy by lopping his head off with a chainsaw of all things and manages to convince people it's a suicide (done to point out the injustice of having to move out of a tenement housing block that the victim lived in)
But... this actually happened. How did I not know this actually happened? |

That was quite some production, for the Olympic Games. Good god, so many lights! Modern technology may never cease to amaze.
Artan, was it? I was hoping, if it wouldn't be terrible trouble, to speak with you again. Business, and all.
I may also be in the market for a new roomate, or pair of such. Man, woman, it makes no difference. But perhaps someone that will actually be around? Attempt to take care of their part of the rooms? I would be much obliged. |

We brought Marten home today just in time for him to see his first snow.
It's difficult to decipher what infants are thinking about anything, given it's all equally new to them, but I don't think he disliked it. He wriggled very amusingly every time a snowflake hit his face.
Miniver has taken that dog of his outside. I believe the two of them are having a competition over who can catch more snowflakes with their tongues. |

Apparently, I'm going to have a baby tonight, or more likely technically the morning of the 5th. I'll be leaving for [hospital in London] in about an hour from when I post this. If anyone wants to call me, my number is [cell phone number]. I'll update with the room phone line when we get there. By great good fortune, I have Miniver's cousin Riordan coming with us to get the phone when I can't.
This is a bit like herding cats, trying to get him and Miniver and Sable to do anything simultaneously, but once we get there, anyone is welcome to come visit at any time. Sable and I will personally bully the doctors into allowing it. It'll be many, many hours before anything exciting happens, though, so don't anybody start panicking. |

Watching the snow fall around the volcano makes my heart sing. But watching it with my son and daughter makes me feel grateful to be alive. I am so very glad that my family extends beyond my blood. |

There's an on-the-roof-with-guns-and-Mr.-Kinney's-blackberry contingency. We've got my block covered. We're going to get everyone to the Sign of the Weasel 3 blocks down. Judah has golems keeping the area clear. Anyone else -- get there if you can.
Where are the wolfpack kids? Can somebody with more guns or magic get to the rehab place and make sure Miniver's all right? |

Okay, I know I suggested this a while back, but then the world went crazy a couple times over, and it seems like we've got even more new and soon-to-be new mothers now than we did then.
Hi! I'm Brenda Annn Turner, and I've got a kid who's just a year old, and I know a couple people who've either just had or are going to have newborns in the next few months and I think a mom's club sort of thing could be good for everyone.
If you're interested drop me a line, of course older siblings, babysitters and significant others of all sorts are welcome as well. |
