I owe an apology to everyone about my behavior the other day. I'd been overwhelmed and stressed by the portal's recent activity and took it out on the network when I should have just screamed into a pillow. It was uncalled for and won't happen again.

I shut my phone off after that and took a respite in the desert away from everything. I have returned to life feeling rejuvenated with a fresh perspective. I've decided to step down from my position on the Welcome Committee to put my focus where it needs to be; on the Science of the portal and figuring out how to get all of you home. It may not seem like we're doing anything but I promise there is a lot of work being done behind the scenes.

I see we've gotten a lot of new arrivals since I took my break so let me introduce myself. I'm Liz Ortecho, a local who has lived here most of my life. My father owns the Crashdown Cafe and I work there when I'm not doing portal research. I hope to see all of you there at some point when you redeem your new arrival voucher. This has to be the first alternate dimensions or universe that has hooked me up with money when appearing. Normally it's nothing or something trying to kill me.
