So for the most part I lurk here and this is the first time I've ever posted. Long story short. I'm moving back and over the past few years since moving out my weight has flucated a lot. Parents barely have space for ME let alone all the clothes that I don't really fit into so! I'm happy to discuss prices as well as post overseas but for the latter it might be a bit more expensive than local (AUS/NZ). All sizes for US are done via this website. Also all but one or two really are old work clothes to give you an idea of casual/smart etc. Pretty much cause work is the only place I really wear skirts and dresses which a lot of this are (not all though)

Edit: I apologise for the quality of the pics, did it with my ipad

clothing is under here. If no one takes it by the end of the week it's going to charity but I'm desperate for money )

My brother in law is getting married next weekend, and I'm trying to figure out what to wear to an outdoor wedding in Denver in October. Part of my problem is that I haven't really gone shopping for clothes since Caldwell, so I'm way more top-heavy than I used to be because of breastfeeding. Behind the cut are four dresses (some with accessories so 7 actual photos) that I already have in my closet - thoughts? If none of them work, any ideas of what may work?

The catch is that I need two dresses - one for the wedding, and one for the rehearsal dinner (indoors, in a hotel) so unless at least two of these work, I'm probably going to have to go shopping anyway. UGH I HATE SHOPPING. Someone just tell me what to wear.

the dresses! )

Also, are black tights okay to wear to a wedding? Would they work with these dresses?

Guys, I'm in my mid-30s and I don't know how to dress myself!!

My mom took me shopping for some (EARLY) birthday presents today and I only got a couple of things because I was looking for pants but they didn't have my size in-store. I ended up getting a top that was on clearance and two dresses so I thought I'd post them here since I rarely get new clothes!

Sorry for awful image quality; I had to take them with photobooth since I don't have a full-length mirror. Also I'm 90% boob.

Now if only she would take me to Sephora ;~; )

Today due to traffic at the gas station after putting air in my tires and thus being forced to turn into a shopping center to turn around, I decided what the hell, let's find and peruse the goodwill...

I got the following dresses for $6.99 each and I'm super, super pleased. I don't own a full length mirror so you get floor pictures but:

My favorite is the floral )

right, okay friends, so for 99.9% of the united states (percentages may not be accurate), it is what the experts call Cold As Balls outside. i fully admit that for most of this week, i've been rocking what is termed as "desperate to survive chic," partially because i've had an ear infection and it is really difficult to care about yr couture when you have an ear that threatens to knock you out every so often. but the past few days, i've actually been rocking warm and cute so i thought i'd share today's outfit as well as my outerwear in toasty solidarity with friends. ch-ch-check it out underneath this dope-ass lj cut.

MOTHAFUCKIN SWAG I GUESS )

so that is basically it y'all, real talk. does anybody else have any cool Winter Fashion Tips to share with the class? i keep on hearing about these fleece lined tights but haven't gotten anything yet, TO MY DETRIMENT SIGH. please tell me all sempai, chinhands.jpg etc.

ETA: today, i bought not one but five pairs of fleece-lined leggings that i found at tj maxx for $5-6.

Had some gift cards from Christmas I needed to use, so today [info]banlieue and I went to TJ Maxx. (We also went a few other places not relevant to this story and the same song kept playing EVERYWHERE it was creepy.) I need clothes I can wear to work but also that I want to wear when not working - I don't want a huge difference between my business-casual attire and my everyday wear - and I think we did a pretty good job at it.

Haul. )

at the end of every semester, i like to edit my wardrobe and get rid of the things i no longer/cannot wear. i talked to [info]rizal about this, and she expressed interest, so i thought it wouldn't hurt to do a post here and see if anyone would be interested in my gently worn pieces before i took to ebay/consignment sites! prices run $2 - $45 + shipping. a lot of different brands below, including madewell, marc jacobs, free people, anthropolgie, j.crew, uniqlo, and h&m.

details & product shots below! )

I went to the outlet mall today, which is such a bad/good idea it's not even funny. I am a sucker for sales, and EVERYTHING is on sale at the outlet mall. But I got a lot of cute things!

It is only after I had paid for everything and was on my way home that I realized that pretty much everything is the same shade of navy blue. Apparently, I was in a blue clothes mood.

Haul behind the cut! )

Edit: I forgot to mention the best part: Charlotte Russe let me keep the hangers. I am always in need of hangers and too lazy to buy them myself.

workclothes shopping spree. [30th Mar. 2013 • 22:44]

So I realized the other day that I desperately need some professional but casual work clothes to wear, especially things that cover my tattoo more -- I've gotten lazy working at the flower shop, where nobody gives a fuck. But I got hired someplace new that does! And I needed clothes before Monday. So I went to Old Navy, tbh. And had the really fantastic problem of everything looking good on me again (even though I gained weight the past few weeks for sure), and not being able to afford it all. I'm trying to narrow these choices down even more if possible, but I really like all of it, sadly. At least a lot of it was discounted and cheap to begin with? I spent nearly $179, though, even without the things I was strict about and put aside, which is probably everything I had in my bank account to spend, I cry.

Also please forgive the weird cropping because I was too tired to gaf.

here is my haul. )

I went at like 9:15 this morning in Falls Church, VA, and I actually got things! Four things, specifically. This is my biggest clothes shopping spree in months, but I'm getting paid now, so yay.

I suck at taking selfies jsyk. Please ignore how stumpy my legs look. )

tl;dr: Well played, Target.
