HELLO, PEOPLE OF ![[info]](https://www.insanejournal.com/img/community.gif) treatyoselves. I have a favor to ask. I'm the kind of person who, once I decide I need something, will stalk all of my favorite stores with obsessive fervor for weeks until the item I like (should I find one) goes for an acceptable sale price. The problem is, sometimes the item is so specific (in my case, I need a classy-lookin' black mini backpack, because BACKPACKS ARE AMAZING and I REFUSE to go back to handbags) that I have to broaden my search. But where to begin?? Well, instead of wading through paid endorsements on fashion blogs, I figured I'd just ask you guys.
What are your favorite online apparel, accessory, and cosmetics shops? We could compile a MASTERLIST, wouldn't that be cool?? If you could fill out the following for each of your submissions, I'd be much obliged:

Fashionistas, help me please. I have an old Groupon I have to use today, and I've narrowed it down to three.
#1: Corso Como Black Patent Pumps - These seem like they might be the most comfortable, with a 3" heel, a comfort pad, and the top edge of the heel looks... softer, maybe? Also, it looks like it doesn't ride as close to the ankle bone and I'm a pansy who's prone to blisters.
#2: Ivanka Trump Black Patent Pumps - These are perhaps just one tiny hair prettier, though? And since I'm above average height anyhow, is the difference between 5'10.5" and 5'11" really going to matter? I'm obviously in need of a giant to begin with. I could get some of the squishy tiny inserts for heels, though IDK if they work?
#3: Ivanka Trump Nude Patent Pumps - Is nude more versatile than black, or no? I have a dress I really like that's a nice deep blue color, and one with pattern but a base of brown, and while I feel comfortable mixing neutrals for most things, I'm not sure black works here? I have brown suede & snakeskin peep toes and vintage silver peep toe Ferragamos that are 1/2 size too small that I could possibly wear with either of those dresses, I just would like something a little simpler/more classic.
I suppose I could just buy all three and plan to return two...
[ Edit ] I went with getting all three to see in person and planning to return two. I'm actually good about returning shit so I won't be keeping more than one pair. |

Helloooo, fashionistas! I have a few job interviews coming up, and I need your help in a v specific department: FOOTWEAR. After four years of career prep classes/seminars in an uptight business school where I've been trained to rock the power suit + spindly black pump combo when meeting a potential employer, I'm dying to dress to appeal to the creative/fashion industry where I (fingers crossed) may be working. Like the places I'm interviewing with, my past few internships have been with advertising and PR boutiques with luxury/fashion/beauty clients, so the rule is generally, like, you can dress casual, but you still have to look trendy. I want to make a KILLER impression, but it'd also be nice to schlep through NYC without having to hide out in a Starbucks somewhere and surreptitiously change from my rollie flats to (slightly too big) sky-high heels. So here's my question: Are chunky ankle booties acceptable for job interviews? If so, does color matter (nude/tan vs. black)? Can I pair them with colored denim (oxblood, coral, light pink)? Give me your thoughts, beautiful people! Also, playing dress-up to Aritzia's playlists makes you look a liiiiiiittle better in everything. ;) |

This is a really tiny haul BUT A HAUL NEVERTHELESS. I actually got this stuff over the weekend and I was going to take pictures myself but my webcam is too grainy and I lost my actual camera??? BUT WHATEVER, onto my stuff!!
