The Future of the Snarry Games Poll, PT 2
Ok, then.

We have calculated the results of our poll(s), and the results are interesting.

Team Alternate Universe and Team Alternate Reality came out on top, with 37% of the total vote. Next closest was Team Romance and Team Angst at 24% of the vote. If we decide to go with AU vs. AR, rest assured that we will be using a clear definition for everyone.

We are still considering another option, which we are keeping under our hats, for now.

66% of you want the Champions to be identified or don't care either way.

Here comes the tricky bits. An overwhelming amount of you - 65%, want the Author and Artist Games kept separate, the same as 2006 and 2007.

However, there was a lot of interest for Art/Author collaboration - 83% would consider or be interested in a change of games to have both Author/Artist, especially if the mods assigned partners (75%).

Due to the extreme increase in fandom fests, and the overall lack of interest for them, if we do amalgamate the Games (have both Authors and Artists together) then the Games could run at an optimum time, when few others do.

Such as: July, for 40% of the vote.

So, before we announce or make any changes, we have one more small poll for you, to help the mods decide if we announce the 'Winter Author Games' this weekend for posting in the usual April/May, or if we hold off and announce a collaborative and/or mixed 'One Big Games' for the summer only.

Please let us know what you think, both as potential Champions as well as Spectators. Thank you!

IMPORTANT PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT.

We take a break during our regularly scheduled programming to bring you some new FAQs!

This Games, we have the new and very popular genre of Fanon being voted upon by our judges. This has prompted some interesting questions.

How do I vote if I haven't read the story that the artist has chosen to draw from? )

Thank you! We will go back to our regularly scheduled future Snarry Art classic in a couple of hours!
Have fun, and enjoy the Games!

Original poster: snarrymod

As of now, the polls are all officially closed, and the mods are furiously counting. *g*

We anticipate being finished our tallies within the next 24 hours, and the medals will be done very soon thereafter. With any luck, we should be able to present them by tomorrow evening, Pacific Standard Time!!!

We have more drabbles to come, and a special Thank You letter to the participants and Judges before that time.

Even though the polls are closed, the participants will still appreciate any reviews you may have not had time to leave during the polling process. Feel free to do so now, and check out our Drabblers and future Champions!

Cheers!

HOW-TO Poll for Fandom Fests

Original poster: djin7

"The difference between the impossible and the possible lies in a person's determination" - Tommy Lasorda

This poll is for anyone who has participated in or been involved in running ANY fandom Fest/Contest/Community Project.

The reason for doing this poll is somewhat selfish; with the Snarry Summer Art Games coming up, I would like to iron out any kinks or bumps, and I would really love to have some insights on how to improve. Sometimes that means concrit, or even dealing with direct complaints.

I wish to ask the opinions of people who have more experience than I, or my most excellent mod team. This is less about 'technical difficulties', and more about 'public relations'.

There are so many large and varied fests out there: [info]merry_smutmas[info]harry_holidays[info]hpvalensmut[info]big_bang_hd[info]hp_springsmut[info]naughty_newyear[info]the_eros_affair, [info]snarry_olympics, to mention only a few, PLUS all the regular comms that host holiday fests/contests, such as [info]pornish_pixies,[info]pervy_werewolf, [info]hp_vamp, [info]smut_wednesday.

Everyone and anyone who has participated in these fests, please feel free to comment if you wish to elaborate on any poll questions.

SUMMER ART GAMES POLL

Original poster: djin7

In planning this event, I had initially hoped to include art, a la [info]merry_smutmas, but time constraints and other factors prohibited it for our inaugural run. However, the possibility of an ALL ART GAMES is the one I am exploring today. If you are an artist, please feel free to take our poll, so we may glean some feedback on the logistics of running an Art fest for the Snarry Games. Thank you!
