Summary: It was the headmaster’s dirty little secret.

It was the old man’s dirty little secret. Of course, to him, a secret implied something one was ashamed of, not merely something kept hidden. And shame was not one of the feelings that coursed through Dumbledore as he watched the nightly, sacred dance of intertwined ecstasy and love. The unknown show his two “boys” put on every night, in his honor, as he liked to tell himself, was indeed the highlight of his elder years. No one would have ever imagined the men finding shared devotion, but Albus was certain that now, nothing could ever sever their tender union.

Sibil Trelawney’s jaw had not left the table since the unlikely couple had walked through her curtain. Even the all-seeing were sometimes surprised, but never this surprised.

Seeing them together for a compatibility reading had shocked her so greatly, that she even forgot about the voices that never stopped whispering to her in the back of her head.

“Alright, you’ve had your fun boy. Now we are leaving.”

Snape sneered through gritted teeth, yanking the boy toward the door as he stood.

“But, she hasn’t even started!” Harry protested, resisting.

“And she never will.” Severus growled, pulling the boy outside.

“Can we stay like this forever?”

Harry whispered from the forest-green canopied bed, with its ceiling enchanted to bathe them in the magical starlight of the actual night sky.

“You of all people should know that nothing is forever Harry.”

His lover replied, in an adoring tone no one but this boy had ever heard him use. Harry sighed in response, wrapping his legs even tighter around Severus’ pale, slim hips, and kissing him deeply.

Severus didn’t do birthdays. Until now. With his most valiant attempt at a scowl, he stood with arms crossed, blocking the entryway of Snape Manor, waiting, adorned with a very brightly colored, pointy hat. Minutes later, an unlocking sound could be heard. The potions master cleared his throat loudly, and with a simple wave of his hand, dispelled the silencing charm that had warded the room. As Harry Potter opened the door and crossed the threshold, dozens of people jumped out from every nook and cranny, streamers flying, shouting,

“Surprise!!!”

I must really damn love this boy, Snape mused, sneering.
