The first time, it was a fight: teeth were involved, and tongues and lips, battling for position, battling for control, battling for the right to say what it was they were doing. Neither of them had wanted this, and neither knew how else to begin.

The second time, it was hurried, positions and control already figured, desperation driving them. They each had work to do, and fifteen stolen minutes would have to do, and no time for dominance.

The third time, Voldemort stood ready, and a mile away, so did they. This kiss, the last until after, was a promise.
