Severus had nothing to feel guilty for. It was all Potter's fault! Severus remembered their first night together when he'd woken to an empty bed.

What if he'd allowed Potter another go? He'd only done it to annoy Scrimgeour; all in a good cause. Severus never forgot that Potter could prank him again and he wasn't letting his guard down.

"I care for you." Potter would have to be an idiot to think he'd fall for that! Potter was an idiot, though.

When Severus chucked him out, Potter had looked hurt. Severus didn't care.

Caring was for idiots… like Potter.
