Author Notes: Another angle on The Prince's Looking Glass, an earlier drabble that I love to death.


There was a spell in the Prince’s book, and all Harry needed was a mirror to do it.

He used Sirius’ mirror – he felt it showed his loyalty. Mending it, he performed the spell with his wand, and hoped for the best.

Years before, Severus jumped back, horrified, from the mirror in the boys’ bathroom. An image was in it that looked too much like James Potter for his own comfort. He swallowed.

Realizing it had worked, Harry smiled. “This way,” said the reflection of the bespectacled boy, “you’re mine.”

Snape shivered, but couldn’t bring himself to break the glass.
