Wallyworld (Walmart) marked down the Blu-Ray set for Knight Rider: The Complete Series. It went from $47 down to about $30.

I already have the Complete Collection and two sets of the original DVD releases from the 2000's, so I personally don't need it. But here's the link if anyone wants it in physical, Blu-Ray form.

I'm happy with the sets I have now, but if anyone wants it in HD, there you go. ;)

I don't have the day or the time, but David Hasselhoff will be appearing on an upcoming episode of Tanked, which airs on Animal Planet. I did catch David's interview on The Insider and he said he appeared on the show because he's interested in the conservation of sharks.

If anyone out there is headed to Comic Con (SDCC) this year, David and the rest of the cast of Sharknado 3 will be there this Friday, and there WILL be a Knight Rider display with a KITT replica on hand again. (I checked the other sites and it doesn't look like they're promoting any KR-related merchandise or projects this time around.)

Speaking of merch. (Did I really just spell it merch? Ugh.)

Knight Rider is being released on blu ray... But, it's a Japanese release, and will cost $600.

Also, if you read the thread, you can purchase the entire original series in HD via Google Play, minus the episode Dead of Knight. (Due to music rights issues.)

On July 1st, Netflix will be removing all four seasons of Knight Rider (1982-1986) from its line up. (I don't know about the 2008 series, or if they even still offer it.)

One reason why I personally prefer buying and owning DVDs./rant

The set came today. The box itself is nice and reminiscent of the S1 release. Nice artwork of KITT on the back, along with a couple pics of Michael from the back of a couple of the other single sets.

There is one episode change from the listing I found on Amazon - the addition of K.I.T.T.Nap. (Goliath is listed as one episode, so that would make nine.)

There are no teasers. There are no clips of episodes or music with the main menu. It's only a simple menu with the episode listing, and then a setup where you can select English subtitles.

The visual transfer doesn't seem as clean as the other releases, but it could have been worse. KOTP and Goliath are divided into two episodes, with credits at the end of their first halves. (Like there would be in syndication.) At the end of Goliath, you are taken straight to the second part, but not with KOTP.

They're single-sided disks, in Dolby Digital 2.0. (I don't know anything about fixed sound issues yet.)

It's what you'd expect to get for a $12 set. Probably would be a good cheap gift to give someone that you're trying to introduce to the series.

Edit: Correction. There are teasers. It also seems to be edited somewhat like it is in syndication.

Also, more people are saying that the sound issues have in fact been fixed.

My only reservations about buying this are: 1) The price. And 2), It sounds like they're just slapping the seasons together. So I'm not all that confident that the sound issues with Season 3 are going to be addressed.

I do like the idea of having single-sided disks, however.

Finally, all four seasons of the original Knight Rider series will be made available on a complete box set!

There will not be any bonus material on this 24-disk set. However, each disk will be single-sided, instead of double-sided. Universal lists the package as "K.I.T.T. Gift Box With Flashing Lights & Sound Chip".

The price of this set will be about $139-$140, and the tentative release date is October 21st. (No word yet on when or if this will be released in other regions outside of the U.S.)
