Hello, Magpies! No doubt, you have seen a new face around the offices, so I thought I'd send out a memo to briefly introduce myself. My name is Alex Winters, and I'll be taking over the Public Relations position from Aureliana effective immediately. She's agreed to stay on for a brief time as we transition her work to me, and I'm very excited to get started here! I'm sure all of you have appreciated the hard work she put in during the interim. A little about me: I was born in Scotland, but moved to America when I was really little, and grew up in Seattle, WA. I went to Ilvermorny- Go, Horned Serpents!- and then interned for a marketing firm in Manhattan before being hired on full time. This was my primary background- international corporate accounts- for nearly ten years, when I felt it was time for a change. But I'm not here to bore you with the details! I'd really like to get to know everyone here, but I know that everyone is busy with three upcoming matches this month, so I'm asking if you could please find the time to either schedule a time or just stop by my office for a brief 5-10 minute chat so I can get to know the team a little better. If you find you don't have time, or small talk just really isn't your thing, I've attached a brief form that includes some talking points you can also use if you wish. I'm looking forward to meeting all of you, and can't wait to see the Unbeatable Magpies in action again!

After shaking Merc's hand and taking a seat, Alex leans forward, a notebook and a biro in his hands. "Well, first off, I just wanted to say that I've reviewed the team's statistics and match reports from this season, and I'm very impressed. That said- and, please forgive me, because I'm about to hit you with a wall of questions here- I was hoping you could tell me a bit about what you see for the rest of the blocs and next season, and maybe your thoughts about the team as a whole and its individual members. Are there any areas I need to focus on as far as the press is concerned, or events you would like to see Montrose involved in that I can facilitate? How can I help you achieve the vision you have for this team?"

After writing a response to the questionnaire, then mostly scribbling it out again, Roger decided that the best course of action was probably to go and speak to their new PR face to face. Despite having said just the night before that he would try and keep his distance. Drunken promises never truly held, so he didn't feel too badly. Of course he'd have to report back to Ainsley that yes, the universe hated him and he now had a Cecil-a-like to contend with at work. Half of him expected -hoped- that Alex would have already left for the night, so he didn't think there would be an answer to his knock on the office door.

	Yup, the universe hated Roger, because Alex was still there. He looked up from the stack of backdated Seeker Weekly he'd asked Mick pull together earlier that day for him, not expecting anyone to still be around at- he glanced at the clock, oh, not as late as I thought- well, it didn't really matter at this point. Lennox would most certainly rather have done this in writing. From the comfort of his own home, perhaps even with his girlfriend and the dogs for company, but nooooo Somehow his therapist had got wind of all of this, insisted he go in for face to face interaction (safe space, indeed) and Lennox arrived with shoulders so slumped they were almost to the floor.

Aureliana had understood his need to stay away from media stuff as much as possible, how much he hated crowds. No WAY was he going to strike lucky twice.

	Watching Lennox come into his office, Alex was forcibly reminded of a man walking towards certain death. He wasn't put off by it in the slightest- he'd had plenty of experience dealing with reluctant clients- it just meant he needed to change tactics a bit. "Lennox, is it? Hi, come in, please. Ada had actually started filling out the form the moment she'd gotten home... only to end up screwing it up into a ball and throwing it away. It wasn't that it was a bad form, but she'd ended up scribbling out a lot and although she spoke the truth it all just sounded... unlike her. It was why she ended up organising a meeting for after practice the next day, as awkward as it could turn out to be she felt she'd at least sound more herself being able to give her answers in person.

She knocked on the door before poking her head through it. "Hello?"

Alex can absolutely do stretching his legs and getting some air, so he'll wander out to the bleachers to find and properly introduce himself to the Magpie's Medic. He drops into the spot next to her-at a respectful distance- and stretches out his neck with a sigh before offering his hand. "Hi there, it's Florrie, right? I'm Alex. Alex Winters. It's nice to finally get out of my office and meet you."

Angus, whom no one would call an early bird when it came to meetings with PR, meandered into Alex's office on Wednesday during a break in training, still with the crystal monitor on his ear and his sweaty practice robes on. "Mornin'," he greeted the new guy with a grin, holding out his hand for a hearty shake. "Alex, yeah? Heard I ought to come and meet the new lad. I'm Angus Campbell, the taller, handsomer, wiser, more charmin', smoother with the ladies, and definitely blessed with the better beard twin."

Alex shook Angus's hand with a broad grin of his own, pleased to finally be meeting the reserve Chaser. "That's quite the title to be saddled with. I mean, most people just go with something like 'Angus the Greater' or 'Angus the Blessed'. Your business card must be the size of a billboard- er, a broadsheet." He stepped back and indicated the seating area on the other side of his desk- he'd finally had a chance to rearrange things a bit, so the space was more open. "Please, sit, if you have a few. Can I get you anything? Water, tea? I have a few snacks on hand, since I'm discovering that it's a handy thing to keep around with Quidditch players. How's practice been?"

After setting out the equipment and making sure everyone's supplies were ready and that the interns had gotten all of Coach's notes copied and that things were ready for the arrival of the forces of chaos, Gregor wandered over to the business office side of things. He was pouring his second cup of bad tea when he noticed that Alex's office door was open.

He poked his head in. "Hi, we haven't met. Gregor McGregor. I'm probably not on your PR radar, but I do have tea. Fancy a cuppa?"

Alex had been in the office since 4-going-on-5 something that morning, working on the mockups for Fraser's requested invitations. He was more or less pleased with the three he'd narrowed down from the discarded pile of rejects that littered the area around his desk. Honestly, the whole area looked like a craft supply store had exploded. He would vanish the mess in a bit, once he'd been pulled back to non-invitation reality and realized that it was all adding to his current rising stress level. He looked up sharply at the voice at his door, and cricked his neck in consequence.

He was barely able to keep the wince in check, but instead managed a smile of greeting and stood. "I'd love one. Honestly, I could use the break."

He crossed to the door and offered Gregor his hand. "And, for the record, I was hoping you'd find time to stop by, or I was going to have to chase you down. Not only are you the mascot, you're also the assistant coach, right? Kinda makes you a part of this team, which means you were always going to be on my radar. It feels kind of silly to say, it being kind of obvious at this point, but I'm Alex. Nice to finally meet you."
