It was too warm. That, in and of itself wasn't entirely unusual - at least, not recently. Souji was no longer surprised to wake up and find that he was either too hot or too cold, and rarely feeling 'just right', no matter what he might say to the contrary. Regardless, this felt too warm in a manner of that made him, in his half-awake and not really wanting to stir state, think 'weather'. And that was unusual (particularly as one didn't tend to immediately think of weather when in their room, unless it was raining, or some such similar occurrence). The weather at this time of year was usually quite pleasant, and had been for the last few days, particularly in the mornings. Opening his eyes, he found himself led on grass, rather than staring at the rather a-typical browns and associated earthy colours that were prominent in his room. Hurriedly getting to his feet, Souji stood, staring at his surroundings with a mixture of amazement and confusion.

Katara walked along the water’s edge for a moment as the sun made a slow descent toward the horizon. It was so serene and beautiful here. Six years ago she would have been convinced that the Fire Nation could never be such a beautiful place, that it would have been filled with nothing other than flames and misery that threatened to overflow into the other three nations. Everywhere she had gone with Aang and her brother that the Fire Nation had desecrated in their hunt to take over every land had only reinforced that idea.

Legolas had not been alive for almost a thousand years to be outwitted by a mere human, no matter that Aragorn was to be the future King of Gondor. He knew very well that the man was planning something, and a quick conversaton with the sons of Elrond told him exactly what it was. So, the Ranger-King was going to try to take on the Dead themselves, was he? And probably, going to be a noble fool about it all and try to go alone.
He had no interest in allowing one of his good friends to go off alone into hostile territory. Human dead didn't alarm him in the slightest. He couldn't die, not easily, and it was just hard for him to grasp the whole idea. But, in any case, he wasn't about to let Aragorn go alone, and he knew the dwarf Gimli was of the same mind as him. Tomorrow, when the Ranger tried to sneak out, he'd find it harder than he expected, with the sharp elvish eyes watching out for him.

Doo doo doo, da da doo doo doo! The chime from the intercom announcing a message from longtime friend and colleague Basil Exposition pulled Austin out of a dreamless sleep. His hair was quite disheveled and his glasses were haphazardly perched on his nose. Fumbling for the receiver, he first knocked it on the ground and then had to sit up in bed and reach for it on the ground.
"Yes, Basil, what is it?" His voice was groggy with sleep and he smacked his lips around the taste of morning breath. "Basil?" The intercom crackled and then died. Austin shook the intercom, then banged on it with the palm of his other hand. "Bloody piece of rubbish." He muttered to himself and stood up. Only, what he felt between his toes wasn't carpet. It should have been the shag rug, but it felt more like gritty dirt and sparse grass.

Back in solitary.
Miguel didn't know how much worse his life could get at this moment as he collapsed on the hard cot attached to one of the walls. It was the same room he had spent most of his time at Oz inside of and the familiarity of those four walls were closing in on him, making the convict feel like throwing up. In fact, he could feel the bile rising in his throat and turned to the toilet where he dry heaved for a few minutes. Christ, he couldn't believe he was back in here again, trapped once more in the metal cell. "Fucking moron", Miguel swore at himself. "El burro sabe mas que tu". How could he have been so stupid to lose his temper at the parole meeting and actually attack one of the parole board members?
