Day Two
Who: Elizabeth Swann // Captain Jack Harkness
When: Day 2, Early Evening.
What: The arrival of one, Miss Elizabeth Swann
Where: The lake.
Rating: PG (Possible PG-13 for language)
Status: In Progress

Elizabeth stood at the starboard railing, fingers tracing the grain in the treated wood as she looked toward the horizon. The sun was falling in the sky meaning the temperature would be dropping soon. It was one extreme or the other since they had left the safety of Tia Dalma’s humble abode. During the day the sun blazed, unforgiving, causing many of the crew to become ill. During the night the winds would pick up and leave a chill in even the stoutest man’s bones. Turning her head, she peered over her shoulder only to find William at the rigging, staring at her with the same expression he had the day she killed Jack.

Casting eyes downward, she returned her gaze forward. The guilt of what she had done was consuming her as it was; Will’s knowing gaze was not making it any easier on her. She was just grateful the rest of the crew seemed oblivious. They were en route for Singapore to acquire a map to the world’s end. There was still hope.

A gust of wind coming in from the northwest caught the sails of the vessel and jerked her off their set course. Curses could be heard from Captain Hector Barbossa as he ran towards the wheel which was spinning wildly. The sudden movement pushed Lizzie forward, her abdomen catching the railing in an abrupt manner, the breath being knocked from her lungs. Half hanging over the railing she watched her tricorn hat fly from atop her head down to the tumultuous waters below.

“ELIZABETH!” she heard someone yell from behind her, was it Will? She felt herself tumbling over the side of the ship as she began slipping into a state of unconsciousness. Hitting the cold water hard she began to sink like a stone.

~*~*~*~

Swimming madly for the water’s surface, panic was setting in. It felt as if water was filling her lungs and weighing her down. Struggling for what felt like an eternity, dirty blonde hair and frightened brown e yes pierced the water’s surface. Spitting water from her mouth and pushing back tresses that clung to her face, Elizabeth looked around in fear. Where was the ship? Where was William? Where in the bloody hell was she? The water she had expelled from her mouth did not carry the salty bitterness of the ocean. Gasping for air, she began to make her way towards the shore. It’s the Locker for you, Lizzie.

Jack had woken up that morning and had experienced several moment of disorientation before he'd remembered what had happened to him. It had been a very strange sensation to wake up in such a familiar room after so many decades and there had been a few seconds when he'd first woken that he'd wanted to jump out of bed and find out where the Doctor was taking them today. Then he'd remembered and there had been a moment of crushing pain and despair before he'd pushed that aside.

He'd decided to distract himself from his room by exploring the resort, partly to get the lay of the land and partly to see if he could find a way off... or at least a face that he knew. So far he'd had no luck on the last part or the second but the first was happening nicely, even if it did baffle him. As far as he could tell this was just a ranch, a genuine resort-type ranch with all the amenities a guest could ever want. The question was... why was he here?

He'd decided to head down to the lake to try and gather his thoughts and had been ambling along the shore, hands in his pockets, when he heard the sound of someone splashing in the water. They were obscured by an outcropping of rocks and trees and he walked around and saw someone swimming towards the shore. He frowned slightly; he'd been walking around the lake for a while and he was sure there hadn't been any boats or anything else in the water.

He hurried down to the edge of the lake and stopped just shy of the edge of the water. "Ahoy there," he yelled, grinning to himself at his nicely nautical greeting. "Need a hand?"
