[After a moment, she also says where, exactly, the fight is going down.

... She really does sound worried, and that does sound like one heck of a fight in the background.]

[Ryu could do nothing but fly. So fly he did, in his hybrid form, until he spotted something to attack.]

[Anyone getting close to him would see that his eyes were blank, and he looked as if he was incredibly angry.]

[Approach? Trial of the dragonnnnnnnnnnn!]

[Anyone who's in the mood for something lighthearted after last night's explosion, you're about to get quite a show.

For those who don't know, Rei picked up a kitten yesterday - a small orange Scottish Fold, to be exact. And she has decided that Rei has slept just a bit too long, so just before the morning announcements wake up the household, the kitten begins climbing cheerfully over Rei's head and kneading her scalp. As Rei is lying on her side, one little orange paw pushes the video button, treating the prison to a close-up view of Rei's face as her eyelids slowly flutter open, red eyes glazed and heavy-lidded.]

Hmmmph?

Mrrrra. [The kitten jumps off her head and begins batting excitedly at her nose, her face becoming visible at the edge of the screen. Finally, Rei sits up and cradles the kitten in her hands, peering down at her curiously and giving everyone a much better view of the fluffy orange bundle.]

Are you hungry, Asuka? Tsukasa-san - [She glances over to her side.] - I believe Asuka is hungry.

[Anyone surprised that Rei should have gotten a kitten? Surprised by the name? Not surprised at all? Amused by the show? Please, do weigh in.]

[The beach is one of those places that calms Ryu down, at least partially. Still, it's hard to control that kind of anger... he's doing his best, though.]

[He doesn't doubt that it was Xellos who murdered the two dragons previously attached to Ashton. And a dragon - any dragon - was like a cousin to him, even if they didn't come from the same world.]

[Which leaves Ryu with trying to calm down, and sitting on the beach, shoulders hunched, sifting sand through his fingers, his communicator next to him.]

[[ooc; Without the communicator on, Ryu only understands dragon and... fantasy-world equivalent English and Chinese/Korean/whatever the Fou Empire speaks. :T ]]

[Look up in the sky! It's a bird, it's a plane--no, it's very obviously Fou-Lu in his hybrid form, having imbibed several cups of tea. Barrel rolls, spins, skimming along the ground and the walls of buildings... really, he can't recall a time he ever enjoyed the exhilaration of flight. Despite the day starting with a big embarrassing episode, he feels better than he has in centuries. Avoiding their tiny beautiful world just doesn't seem right, not when he can't even get this huge toothy smile off his face.]

[Whenever he spots someone passing below, he dips down to greet them. No harm in saying hello, after all!]

[Once Komuvitamin E has worn off, he will hate this day so. Much.]

[So, Mami's finally out of the hospital and back to her farm. Yaaaaaaay! Even more yay is-- the veggies are all grown now!

...To the point that it is time to give some to others! So, she flicks on the voice thingy and starts talkin'.]

If anyone wants lettuce, radishes, or cucumbers - the ones at m' farm in Sector Five are all grown now, and I'd be happy t' give some out!

[Orihime plays with her communicator a bit until it turns on. She's looking much better, smiling into the communicator, wearing pajamas and without the pins in her hair, for once. She's also curled up with her back to the wall and her legs to her chest, on the floor of her new house. There are no lights on.]

I picked out a house...! I thought it would be kind of cool to have one, since -- ehe, Tokyo real estate is so expensive, maybe I won't ever be able to afford a house. There's all these rooms and all this space! I have an entire floor just to hang out on, and then there's bedrooms upstairs...

[She trails off a little, and glances back at the house, smile dimming slightly as she considers it. Still pleased, but something's still bothering her.]

But it's so much bigger than my apartment, and kind of quiet... I can't get to sleep now.

So, um. [sheepishly] What's everyone else's living situation, I guess? Did you move in with friends, or with friends you made here...? Do you have a house or an apartment or live in the big underground shelter thing...?

[Ryu turns on the video function, yawning as he looks around his hospital room.]

H... hey, can anyone tell me where I am? I don't know what's going on..

[...Well, that was odd. Mami remembers going to sleep inside her house (but the details are a bit lacking...) ... some kind of dream where Ryong was upset...and now she's in the hospital.

She's very, very tired still, and moving doesn't seem like a good idea...but she's okay enough to chat, and so she gets the voice thingy going. When she speaks, she sounds somewhat quiet and tired.]

...Ah...wha's goin' on? Did somethin' happen? Las' I remember, I was in my house.

[Unfortunately, despite a friend walking her home, despite the hardiness that no doubt comes with being a farmer, despite a lot of things...

...Mami's just a normal girl, you know. When push comes to shove, she's only human. She's not as strong as the supernatural beings in this prison.


If anyone goes to Mami's garden in Sector 5 today, they won't find her there. However, if anyone goes to a small place-of-residence very nearby...well, the door isn't locked, and in the doorway, there is an unconscious farmer girl.

Looks like whatever is going around got her too.]

[It hadn't been long since he had left Rei in Tieria's care. He still wasn't sure why he had done it, not entirely. She was just another person. Was it due to the special nature of what resided in her soul?]

[It was in these moments that he hated the last bits of emotion that clung to himself. Especially given that the moment of... weakness... that he had just indulged in had left him with very little energy. Casting a healing spell on himself would only further aggravate the problem.]

[So Naoya drags himself to the library, collapsing in a chair. As much as he hates to admit it, the high prevalence of bots in this sector should deter most from ideas of attacking him while he's recovering.]

Mami? Are you free today? Ryu was hoping you'd keep him company! And it'd be a huge help for me if you could as well~ [♥]

[Voice | Open - after the lunch hour.]

[barely controlled anger] If I ever get my--! [sounds of frustration and stomping and ... deep breath] Can someone with medical experience please get back to me right away? Especially anyone familiar with dragons!

[Saber can be found, with her lion Arthur in tow, at the far edges of Sector 4-- where the reach of bounded field that grows each night, yet is never seen during the day, exactly ends. She knows that.

The presence that appeared precisely four days ago. At first it only siphoned away energy here and there, but the amount that could be overlooked was exceeded that past night... and a human killed.

Her sense of justice calls her to arms to hunt the source of the blasted thing down. But it's not so easy. It can't be found while in daylight, and waiting until the territory shows itself to charge in is tantamount to suicide for a Servant. She wouldn't even make it to the shelter, and instead, simply fade away without accomplishing anything. That knowledge is the only force keeping her on the outskirts; her pride cannot allow such an end.

So as the two aspects continue to wrestle for the right to be acted on, the blond girl only expresses herself by glowering at the central tower-- the sternness faltering only when Arthur is being cuter than usual as he plays about]

[Xion had a difficult time hauling herself out of bed and fishing her communicator out from under her bed (Mars had apparently decided that it made a great toy), but she wanders out into Sector 4 anyway. She hasn't talked to Suzaku in a while, and now they're neighbors! So she wants to go say hello. And she's pretty sure a lot of her other friends live in Sector 4, too...]

[[OOC: Xion's going to be in Sector 4 all day, so anyone and everyone except Kefka is free to come poke her. You can be puttering around your house and hear her knocking, or just find her napping under a tree or in Mami's garden.]]

[So, Mami's been having a decent enough day, and is now checking out her vegetable garden. She's been taking very good care of it, so clearly everything is all right. Right?

...No. A great disaster has befallen the garden! There. Are. WEEDS. Unbeknownst to Mami, though...somehow, they aren't what you'd call normal weeds. They're flowers, i.e. the kind of thing that a normal person might want in their garden.

This, however, is a vegetable garden, not a flower garden.

Any passers-by will find Mami pulling up the flowers and fussing her head off. Bother/help/tell her not to kill the flowers?]

[If the bots had done their job well, many of you would have received an invitation showing the location of Jennifer's new house and a hand written note. In short, she's finally getting around to opening up her house!]

[Audio | filtered to everyone she's ever meet] Hello? Everyone should have received an invitation today, but just in case you didn't, I made curry again! And I have a brand new house I'd love to share even though I seem to have already acquired a few roommates. [small laugh] You should thank Josak. He helped me find it!

But, even if you can't make it tonight, you should still stop by sometime~~ I have tea! And an endless supply of cookies [especially if she keeps baking like she has been] I do have one it~ty-bitty little favor to ask though. When you come in, please try not to make to much unnecessary noise? One of my guests is taking a nap and I'd hate to wake him up if we can help it...

[It's getting to be late, and Ryu heads out to the park, finding a tree to lie against. The 'weather' is nice, and the 'stars' are bright, so he just lies there for a while, drawing shapes in the stars with his finger, a smile on his face.]

[So, the baseball game has come and gone. Mami received some helpful advice from a new friend while in the crowd and set off to learn to read once the game let out.

By some stroke of good fortune, she actually managed to find the education center, and is now attempting to learn the fine art of reading. She's...never actually learned to read before due to being stuck in ye olde rural village, so this is very new to her.

So far, so good, though. ...maybe.]

...and I'm going to assume that a wolf running off with the ball is a home run! Wow, no one is seeing that ball again anytime soon.

Uh, okay, then that means the Flying Knights win, with a narrow but rousing victory of 12 to 11! We saw a lot of amazing work out there today, you guys, from EVE's meteoric home run in the third to Suzaku's wall-dashing spin-catch at the top of the eighth! And just think -- next time Ryu will know what direction to run in, so we can expect even better things.

Anyway! Everyone give our players a round of applause, and our cheerleaders, how about those lovely girls and guy! They really know how to bring the spirit to the field, and the skirts look great on you. All of you. Especially you...... [a long, significant pause] ...Josak.
